I have worked hard at my job for so many years, I didn't realize I was letting my body go... I took about a year off from working, and I'm joined the gym. I worked out really hard about 5 days a week, but my weight never changed. After a few months I even got a trainer at the gym. I was paying all this money with no results. That's when I looked into the lap band. Even though I have only lost about 15 pounds I still see more results than I did every day at the gym.

Sure!:) Well what can I say about Rolanda:) I'm 32 & married, I don't have any children. . I was working full time at the dealership 55 to 60 hours a week and it was kind of tough on me Because I had to drive 1 hour to work and 1 hour back home. So when I eventually lost my job after 10 years, it was actually a good thing. I work part time now much closer to home, only about 10 minutes, so I'm happy with that.

I was 276.4, before surgery, now I'm 262.2, it's crazy how slow my weight is coming off, so I'm starting to get a little discouraged, but my doctor says everything is fine. I just got my first adjustment dec7,2012. Hopefully more weight will come off now. I havent told my family about my surgery, Only my husband because I didn't need any discouraging people in my life. It's not that you're hiding anything, it's just that you are doing the best that you can for you, this is about you, your health, your body!:)

It can be very frustrating waiting on insurance I have to wait two weeks before I My approval and then I started my two week diet liquid diet about two days after I got the approval so everything worked out within the timeframe I need it but it could have easily went the other way so I understand your first ration but Chatot think of the big picture, maybe that will cut down on some of the anticipation and nervousness

You're doing fine it's normal not have any appetite. Just try your best to get something down so you won't get weak. You'll get your strength and your appetite back little by little. Even though you haven't eaten much during this time don't be surprised that you don't lose any weight. Your body is trying to heal and it's going to try to hold on to everything at has, That was my experience. You can do it!!!:) -

Hi, I'm rolanda from Chicago, I was 276.4, before surgery, now I'm 262.2, it's crazy how slow my weight is coming off, so I'm starting to get a little discouraged, but my doctor says everything is fine. I just got my first adjustment dec7,2012. Hopefully more weight will come off now. I hope everything goes well for you. My insurance paid the full amount for my procedure, less my $225 deductible. It's hard to wait to find out if they will pay or not, they took over two weeks to get back to me.

Hi I'm Rolanda from Chicago, I'm 32 and I had my surgery oct 25,2012. I don't have any health problems, but I do get very lonely and I often feel discouraged. My husband is a wonderful man, but I know he can't fully understand how I feel. Simple things are very difficult, like getting up going to the store. I'm not sure if this is how you feel, but please know that you are not alone.:)

Let's be friends, I need your HELP!
ro32 replied to swilkins's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try your best to make small changes throughout the day. Try to keep your calories limited(set a goal number and try to keep your intake of calories under that). That way you wont feel so bad if you have a cookie or pop every once and awhile because the other items you had were low calorie. I don't look at the big picture because sometimes it can be overwhelming, small steps eventually get you to your destination. -

I have found that it's harder for me to stick to a diet now that I can eat what I want! I think it was easier when I was just on the liquid diet because it's my choices were limited! Crazy huh! -
