Fred- it was a fucking bitch. But not for too long. I had surgery 12/29. As soon as I woke up they said they were taking me up to my fam, moved the bed an inch and I threw up. Thght fuckkkkk what have I done. I walked immediately (I have my daddy's will) Came home 12/31 ( would have preferred to stay in hosp on morphine drip- I abused that shit.) they took me off early in the day and started me on lortab which gave me the worst headache so I didn't even fill the prescrip. 31st/1st- slept all day, felt horrible, gas pains SUCK. And I don't mean like farting gas, gas trapped in your chest. My tummy was making TONS of noise though. I told my brother not to do his surgery lol I was miserable, depressed, uncomfortable, gassy, sore, regretful. By the 2nd (5 days post op) started feeling better. And today was even better. Didnt rely on the gas x strips so much (buy a box or two). So yes it fucking sucks. But not for too long. I think youth helps recovery also, so maybe you'll do better than me I still have a hard time finding a comfortable spot to sleep in ( sometimes slightly tilted kills me), but I don't need nearly as much sleep as before (I was getting about 15 hours a day at first) praying for no complications and that every day keeps getting equally better btw I've also lost 8 pounds since the 31st so it makes me feel a little better lol -
Beautiful!! Where did you start from?

Bridesmaid Dress- ordering size question
lolawaiting replied to MyTimeToLose's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
8 months? People drop a 100 pounds in 8 months. I know it's hard to "dream" that way, bc it's impossible for me too lol but I don't think you'll be down a "few sizes" in 8 months. Buy 2- a "safe" size and a "fuck yeah I'm gonna do this" size lol excuse my language -

Wow! So much news today. Jodi and simply hope you ladies get to feeling better super quick. Lisa finding out is half the battle, now on to the cure. Gen- terrified of my first dumping. Talked to my doc today, wow how I love him! Wonder if he's single lol he said 2-4 ounces of anything I want per hour, more if I can handle it, but I don't want to over do anything. He also said not to worry about protein just yet, but make sure I'm throwing a protein shake in there. So far so good. Starting to feel better than the hell that I was. So happy to have you guys to turn to! Bless us all!! -
So I have a question.
lolawaiting replied to Ab1986's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Told my doc I had a 25 pound nephew and he said lift away. Paper work says 20-30 max. The only thing that concerns me are his little feet when they graze incision sites. Now those first couple days home- I think I did pick him up, but I was MISERABLE- just in general lol -

On Christmas Day, 4 days before surgery, I must have had 3rds of my aunts stuffing as well as small amounts of ham, turkey, green beans, etc and even banana pudding. I figured screw it- ill never eat like this again. I still managed to lose more weight after that day and my dr said surgery was text book, no complications so far, knock on wood! get back on the horse, clear liquids day before, what's meant to be will always be -

I thght I was having heart issues too! Lol you'd think they'd figure out some way to get the gas out. I could also here my tummy/ pouch (can't own that word yet) making all kinds of noises. I still get this feeling like I can't swallow/ breathe for a second, but I burp and I'm usually good. Gas x strips saved me! -
How long did it take you?
lolawaiting replied to Amanda R's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I watched a seminar online in october... I think. Had my first preop appt w surgeon 10/30 and had surgery 12/29- super good insurance. It was nerve wracking moving so fast. I kinda wish I had at least 3 month pre op diet to... Think. I'm 4 days post op and starting to feel a little better -

The 30 min water rule... Does that count for full liquids, 4 days post op? Or is it okay to just take what I can? Eating an ounce or two tomato soup and water -

I hate this. I feel sad and depressed. I'm so mad at myself that I had to have major surgery and totally change my life just to control my eating. How long till I stop feeling so crappy? I'm not on pain meds cus they give me headaches, but I sleep a lot and have crazy dreams- eating mcds fries, taking pinches of cookies. I have so much pressure still even though I'm getting a little burping, farting and bowels moving (sorry) I just feel like crap. I was told that I'd regret it, but it would get better. WHen?? -

Good to hear from you southern, hope they make you feel better. Good luck hippie. I just got back from the hospital today, surgery the 29th- all I want to do is sleep. Is this normal/ okay? Not really taking in much, but I do sip when I'm awake (not much of the day) -

Hi guys! Surgery went well but I feel like crapola. Still got my morphine drip but I think it's mostly gas. I wish it would pass already. They brought me my first "meal" but I'm having a hard time taking much in... Just don't feel like it ya know? Maybe a few more sips. Popsicles and cold stuff- not my friend! Can't believe how small the incisions are. Hopefully home tomo hope alls well! -

What a freakin day. My moms doggies were killed by her neighbors dogs (months after my dad just passed.) through tears we are getting to the hospital for check in now. Hopefully it's not a sign. A little upset with God right now. Enough a enough already. This has been the most unbelievable year for us. Please let him, my daddy, my Momo and all the rest we've lost watch over and help me through this. Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts guys. -
