My surgery was 12-12-12 I had bypass. Another thing is every doctor is different. Mine never said no steak and I've had it twice. I mean only like 2 bites but its still not on my no no list. I don't eat any sweets like cookies or anything but I didn't like dessert before surgery either. How much have you lost so far?

Damn girl you look great -
I guess I'm lucky. I didn't feel any pain and only used pain medicines from the pump the first night then never touched it again. The only pain was getting up out of bed after sleeping but it wasn't that painful. Hope everything goes well for you and a sorry pain free recovery!

I am so happy with life. I can't stop smiling and I look better then ever but I'm still secretly sad inside. I am very independent but I just wish I had someone. I kept reading about everyone's husbands and wife's supporting them and I feel so alone. I think I might be single for life I know that if I'm looking for it, it won't happen but I can't help it.

Young Gastric Bypass Patients

I do Zumba 2 to 3 times a week. That's about it for now. I'm a teacher and I pull kids from across the school. So I'm walking all day long! I did mine around Christmas break so. Didn't have to take time off. I went to the gym at 3 weeks. I haven't had any complications or pain at all. If it weren't for the weight loss if be worried if I even had it done. I feel bad for people that have complications but I think that's another good thing about getting it done young! Best decision I've ever made in my entire life.
