I hear you :-( It's sad. I feel out of my realm in the kitchen now. Don't like it either. So many great ideas on here. Gen :-) 12/15/12

Have you tried Syntrax Nectar? I've tried the fuzzy navel and the roadside lemonade. I find the roadside lemonade a little sweet. I'll add 1 pkg of Crystal Light to it to make it taste better. Love the fuzzy navel though. Gen :-) 12/15/12

No its not Silly. heck by then you could even be a couple dress sizes down actually. That is a very good thing to be nervous about. Then when you exchange, you could see if it can be ordered or exchange for a different one. Gen :-) 12/15/12

I never imagined I was that small ( I still can't believe I'm using the term small when referring to myself) until I tried on dress after dress when I reached size 8. I looked at myself in one of those 3 sides (way) mirrors and boy did I have a huge wake up call. It's amazing how you could still look in the mirror and not see the actual loss until you're smacked with it. Yesterday, I definitely got smacked with the reality of what my body was truly like. What a wake up call to actually see what everyone else has been seeing. I never thought I would be a size 8. Not even 2 months ago. You'll get there Sammi and probably sooner than you think. I had to go to get a dress for my brothers upcoming wedding, June 01. I got a dress that is actually form fitting, woohoo. Went from trying size 12 on; to trying a size 10 on and ended up being in an 8. I checked the stores return/exchange policy and its 60 days. If I continue to lose and need a smaller size yet, then an exchange isn't a problem. I also realized, I don't have to leave my T-Shirt untucked anymore, to cover up. I now tuck the T-shirt in plus I can wear my daughters belt which is huge accomplishment. She is a size 3 and falls towards the end of the holes. I fall at the 2nd hole in, but that is huge and a big accomplishment. I definitely have no regrets about this surgery. It definitely is a confidence booster Tomorrow will b my 4th month anniversary and this morning I was at 166. I have 24-34 more pounds to go to be at my goal weight. I chose between 130-140 cuz I'm not sure which it will be or just be between the 2 #s. 12 pants are getting loose in the waist. Medium shirts now. Happier than I've been, since forever it seems. Ex can go to!!! I have learned so much about myself over the last 3 years w/o him in my life. I'm happy with who I am and definitely happy with what this surgery has given me, a renewed life :-) Gen :-) 12/15/12 Congrats to all of us on here for achieving our little goals we set for ourselves to reach our ultimate goal of a better, healthier life!!!

Marla: I know we were close in weight a few weeks ago. I upped my protein to 80-90g a day, sometimes even get 100g in and now I'm at 166. It is worth it if you can do it. Upping has slowed the hair loss too. I also get around 700 calories a day. I am so thankful I had thick hair to begin with. Monday is month 4, Dec 15. surgery date. I, at first though, was a slow loser, but all in all upping protein has definitely helped me out. Plus I due walk the treadmill on random inclines at 4.0mph and I've restricted my diet to just yogurt, cheese sticks, veggies, some fruit, meat, plus almonds, occasionally. Oh yes, I also eat for breakfast special K plus protein. Plus before workout shake as well as after work out shake. Gen :-) 12/15/12

I had surgery in December. I eat between 600-700 calories a day. I had to up my Protein to 80-90g a day. I started having hair loss when getting the set minimum of 60g. I went from a size 22-12 now. People make remarks that I'm wasting away, I'm so skinny. But I still have 20 lbs to go before I'm at the high range of my height/weight ratio. I would like to be able to get to 130, I dropped my goal from 140. Gen :-) 12/15/12

I believe that as well. Plus, you will catch others eyes too. That can't be easy. They tell us all about the emotional side of it, but my question is were the spouses told of the emotions they will go thru as they see the physical as well as the emotional (such as increase of self confidence) changes??? I was going thru a divorce, so a spouse wasn't in my picture. It is interesting to know if indeed they were. Just try to keep him communicating w you. Communication is key because you should be able to have your happiness too. Gen :-) 12/15/12

I have some good news. I am 30 lbs from my goal. Unless I change my goal to 130. The upping the protein really does help. I get between 80-100 a day. Lost 3 pounds in 2 days. But then I'll lose a pound every other day. But so far the increase has warded off stalls. Huge accomplishment there. Thank everyone for being here for me thru the surgeries and ongoing complications. Also thank you for being there to help me thru this mess w my ex. I like Shaunda, am so thankful for all who listens and helps with your caring words. I have a something I want to try when I reach my goal. It is something I'm very scared about doing, but then the thought of it is kind of exciting to me, skydive. I feel it's crazy, but it's on the bucket list. I am now living my life. Have found such an inner confidence in myself that I haven't had my entire 22 yrs of marriage. I feel beautiful. Am told I'm beautiful. My ex is a dumb shit, but I believe he did me the biggest favor of my life. I married out of HS and was never able to find the real me. Guess what, I think she has been found Gen :-) 12/15/12

Today I'll hit 99g. Special K Protein w FF milk, 2 shakes (one before and after workout). Lunch: Danon Light n Fit yogurt, cheese stick, peaches. Dinner: tuna fish salad (1oz albacore tuna, 1/2 HB egg, miracle whip light, mustard) and a cheese stck. That is my day. Not sure, but peaches might be a snack or the lunch cheese stick. I love the cheese sticks :-) My hair is coming out quite a bit, so I have no choice but to get a high protein. I think the second surgery is the cause for that. After that surgery, I could barely eat or drink for almost a month. Thank goodness for thick hair. Gen :-) 12/15/12
