    7 days and counting

Good luck! I had my surgery in December of 2012. One thing I remember prior to my surgery is I really wanted banana cream pie and boy if I could go back I would have at least tasted it. I weighed 315 and now weigh 135- 140 lbs. Please please make sure you buy yourself a gurdle. Take it with you to the hospital and put it on after surgery. No one told me about that and I finally had my husband buy one, I wish someone would told me about this. A couple post on at home my husband bought me one and it was the best thing ever. The pain was much more manageable and I felt secure with it on.

  3. I am with you on not being able to eat or simply the thought of food makes me nauseous. I had my surgery on 12/4 and have lost 36# but I know if I eat my proteins like I should the weight would come off quicker. My friend from this site just mentioned we just need to plan our mesls better which I agree. But having a hard time getting it together.

    Hello

I know exactly how you feel. Take your pain meds. I am 3 weeks post op. I was so scared to take my pain medicine because I thought it would get stuck or that I would get nauseous. Then once I started taking as told felt much better. I could not sleep either and my dr gave me ambien and that also helped.

I had surgery on the 4th and started my cycle a couple days ago and oh my I don't know what this surgery did but I am menstruating so heavily. Did anyone experience this after surgery? Sorry TMI but this is kinda scary.

In the beginning it will be tough to get all your proteins in and your liquids. I to also over thought every little thing. I had my surgery on the 4th and I and still struggling but taking it day by day. It will happen. As soon as I came home I gave been on purrered foods. Why are you on pure liquids?

Wow SKY you are my idol. Everything you went through we have nothing to complain about. I too felt the same way after surgery and kind of regret it due to the pain. I thought why was I so dumb this this going to change everything BUT... looking back know it was so worth it. I had surgery on the 4th and feel tons better aside being a little sore on my left side.

They could put the IV in your arm or hand. I asked for mine in my arm because you it is easier to maneuver then if it was in your hand. I was also very scared of having the drainage tube removed but I have to say I did not feel it what so ever. Nor did I feel when the staples were removed.
