Screw this hair shedding- Saying bye bye to 10+ inches
LeticiaHuggins posted a topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I'm in my 3rd month of post of and my hair has been shedding hike CrAzY!!! Dr said it could possible shed from 1 to 18 months. WTH 18 MONTHS? I know since my hair is extra long its been making it look twice as bad BEFORE AFTER .. I chopped it myself. because the strands are so long. I was so sick of hair EVERYWHERE I chopped it into a A-Line Bob. I know its not gonna slow the process down but it ain't gonna be as much hair. Plus ponytail and weak hair roots make things even worse. New body.. new hair.. and a whole new tude to go with it. LOL Short Hair... #SummertimeSwag Whoop! Whoop! ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221** 3 mons post op. CW: 165.0 lbs. --- Only 15 lbs to my goal --- -
Cut or Not to Cut My Hair is the Question!
LeticiaHuggins posted a topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
So I just hit my 3 month post op point and my hair is thinning out on schedule. I'm a little torn between cutting it or ride'n this out. I've always had this vision to be this slender African American cute girl with long hair. I've been growing it since 2009 so its between my bra and mid waist line. I'm thinking maybe I should ride it out.. increase my Biotin and just hope it'll start slowing down and filling in and keep wearing my clip ins to help make it fuller. But... It may never fill in nice. Or.... I was going to cut it in a sexy A-Line Bob and dye it jet black which will make it look fuller. A new hair cut to go with my new body. What do you guys think? HELP! ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221** 3 mons post op. CW: 165.0 lbs. --- Only 15 lbs to my goal --- -

He performs surgeries at: Modesto Memorial Hospital Modesto, CA. Dr's Hospital Manteca, CA. Dameron Hospital <---I was here! Stockton, CA. And I believe.... Identity crisis? 6mnths out
LeticiaHuggins replied to nepa1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Besides my breast deflated from a 44DD to a 33B I'm actually okay. My skin is a little loose between my thighs but I notice the more I focus on building muscle the better it gets. Also i take two showers a day and spend about 15 minutes lotioning my skin and found its helped tremendously. J still have an apron tummy but with my panty spanx I look sexy in my size 9 skinny jeans. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221** 5 months post op. Ok.... I'm about to get some back lash. (already ducking and taking cover) BUT LADIES... It's not them, its us! Okay.. let me break it down! We Super Women set this up and then we get pissed because we haven't train this overly taken care lazy men. LOL For example... I bet most of you can cook your butts off, try to keep and organize your homes and know exactly what to do to cater to your men. Why, cause we're the cream of the crop ... We're Super Women! When we first start dating these lazy bastards we're super happy and all in love. "oh ... He he he how cute his clothes are on the floor, let me pick them up" .. or "baby are you hungry, here's your meal".. "are you done, let me get your plate" Ok.. wait! That's what us ladies are suppose to do right? NOPE! My momma always says.. "Never make his plate unless you plan to do it for the entire relationship." LOL. She also said... Always divi-up the chores and never do his or else you'll be doing it for the entire relationship. Yes.. my moms a character BUT she also just celebrated her 30th wedding renewal and might I say those two are still in love and sex.crazy. We have to change them gradually without letting them know we're doing it. I personally just ain't a gradual kinda person. I started leaving large hand written notes. "I AM NOT YOUR MAID, NOR YOUR MOM." "I GUESS YOU WERE NEVER GOOD AT BASKETBALL CAUSE YOUR CLOTHES HAVE CLEARLY MISSED THE BASKET" "A HAPPY WIFE IS A HAPPY LIFE... DOING ALL THE CHORES DOESN'T MAKE ME HAPPY.. MORE LIKE CRAPPY" my favorite.... I throw little slight subliminal comments. "I was watching Y&R today and Nick was cleaning his house.. that's so sexy" or this man was on this cooking show cooking a special dinner for his stay at home wife. Awwww it was so sweet. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221** 4.5 mons post op. CW: 160.0 lbs. --- Only 10 lbs to my goal ---

Awkward question.... Yeast infection after RNY?
LeticiaHuggins replied to liane's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If could be a number of things. Like everyone says antibiotics can create yeast infections. Also... While in the hospital you would have received an IV of Vitamins. Also when you get home you're putting a ton of vitamins into your body... In addition the more weight you lose the more you're hormones will shift and surface because the fat is no longer in the way. What happens is your body will only except so much vitamins and then dispose of the rest through your pee and for us women... vaginal discharge. The same is for your hormones.. some is disposed through your pee or discharge. This discharge will come in waves as your hormones shift or your body expells vitamins. Think of discharge as your garbage shoot... It's actually a good thing. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221** 4.5 mons post op. I got a really nice pantie girdle from Target for 5 ... Most of them are always like 50% off. I own spanx but I love the panties better. They go all the way up to under my bra so I get great support. Wait... I actually have a lot that I just cleared out of my closet. How much are you weighing? What size are you? And.. where do you live. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221** 5 months post op. CW: 160.0 lbs. On a 2 month stall BUT --- Only 10 lbs to my goal ---

Problems with adult acne post op?
LeticiaHuggins replied to Obeasta's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
It's your hormones. 3-4 months after surgery they go wake! Plus the more weight you lose the more hormones begin to surface because the fat is no longer around to block them. I went thru the same thing. I used proactive for a good month until my hormones chilled the heck out. ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221** 4.5 mons post op. 4 months post op & The longest stall ever!
LeticiaHuggins posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So the last month I've stalled out between 163 and 166 lbs. Out of 13 months of my weight loss journey I've never stalled for this long. Can this be a bitter sweet thing being that in 4 months post op of WKS and already 12 lbs from my goal weight and needed to slow it down drastically. OR ... Is this the end of my WLS ride that I get and I need to take another route? Has any other WLS folks stalled out for this long too? ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221** 3 mons post op. CW: 164.0 lbs. --- Only 14 lbs to my goal --- -
pain go away :(
LeticiaHuggins replied to adri6873's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hang in there... It gets much much better. What will happen is one day you'll wake up and the psin will just be gone. I noticed when my tummy was wrapped tight it relieved sins of the pain. I used a panty girdle that went up right below my breast and it didn't push on the areas my staples were in. Having my stomach bonded helped tremendously during my walks.. I was actually super fast power walking at the end of week 2 and jogging be week 5.. (i was released before my 6 weeks) ~Leticia **HW: 259**PreOp: 216**SURG: 3/21/13 **Discharged @: 221** 4.5 mons post op. CW: 160.0 lbs. --- Only 10 lbs to my goal --- -
