No one around here seems to care if I eat or not.....kinda feels bad.....but I guess I can't expect everyone to know when I should eat.....just feels bad that no one notices I guess

I'm in southern California, having surgery at Park View hospital in riverside with Dr Krahn.

I know what you mean. My husband asked me to make brownies the other day and they are calling my name from the fridge.....I'm not screwing this up.....good job resisting temptation Kat

I'm glad you finally decided to post.....I am a good listener if thou ever need an ear. I hope to hear ,more from you. My surgery is on the sixth of February. I'm so glad I found this site, because you are right....unless thou have been in our shoes and through this...you really cannot understand. Keep posting, Kat

I am really glad to have someone to go through this with....you know we have our families, but they will never understand unless they have been through it too. Did you get the silastic ring? I did.... We can help each other also, because we know what Dr. Krahn's nutrition plan is....it will be helpful to be accountable to someone on the same plan. Are you planning on going to the support meetings?

Well, I did my preop labs Friday and they came back good except my thyroid was low. My doc already upped my dose so all I have left is my preop visit Thursday and hospital preregistration Friday. Only 8&1/2 days till surgery. I'm so excited.

I like Designer Whey, but I don't think it is 100% whey isolate like they tell you to get. I haven't really found one I "like" at all because I have to mix them with water.....its more like which one can I down without gagging...I don't know what I will do when I have to drink it slower.....hope you find one that is tasty......if so let me know please

I win.....with lots of prayer! Went to Magic Mountain today to celebrate my daughter's 11th birthday which is on Feb 11th lol.....but since my surgery is on the 6th....I didn't want o ruin it for her.....anyhow, it was so hard to be there and be on my shakes....I had to get premixed ones to take with me (disgusting) but with God's help I was even able to walk most of the day. We can do this you guys.....it feels good to say..." I am choosing not to eat that because my surgery is important to me, my health is important to me, I have started a new life and it is my choice to not overeat.". I am paying for all the walking now.....but I am so thankful God gave me the strength to resist temptation and to be able to walk. All my disabilities keep me so tired and in pain.....but today was wonderful....we can all do this. I can't wait till Feb 6th....today showed me that I really am ready for this. Kat

Im not proud but very thankful to the Lord that he answered my prayers for self control and strength. Thank you all so much for the encouragement. This site is such a blessing. I just wanted to post this to encourage others, I know we can all be successful and am so excited for everyone to begin to live happy, healthy lives. God bless, Kat

Good husband! Thank God for them. I am glad someone is driving you home. I would complain to your insurance and surgeon.....I hope you get some rest and feel better.

I am very excited.....you will get here too....I cant believe it 10 days away....best wishes for your tests....just remember to breathe deep and stay relaxed as possible. You will do great. I have not been kind to my body either. I failed my first 4 ekg's they kept just letting me lay there. But I have so many health problems that I wasn't surprised. You will do great!

That is horrible and I thought they didn't want you driving for a week. I can't believe emotional instability is not a god enough reason to let you stay. I don't even know you and have more compassion for you...I wish I could come and at least get you home safely.. I'm praying for you now.....I'm so sorry you are going through this... Kat

I'm still pre opp as well.....I am sorry that you are having such a rough time. I don't know what exactly you went through, but you need supportive people in your life who love you no matter what size you are. I don't know if any of you go to church, but mine offers free biblical counseling and it really helped me with my major depression issues. I was even hospitalized for it, so I do understand...If ever anyone needs to talk, I'm here....no judgment..... Just a good listener....and about people playing high and mighty.....I think we all have moments where we think we are on top of it and think we know best....think we have got it down.....but we didn't get obese by being perfect with food, and I don't think I will ever feel like I am the authority on good eating......we should share good eating habits and tips in a kind and caring way.....don't we have enough mean judgmental people in our lives without getting it from a support site? If I ever sound that way it is unintentional and you have my permission to smack me.....I hope you feel better....you are so beautiful.....I hope you can find people who appreciate who you are and how hard you have worked to get there. I was 5'10" till I lost two from back issues.....so the smallest I have ever been was a 10 at 200lbs.....used to work out a lot so I had more muscle then. I am still pretty op and weigh 269.... I think my goal weight is about 160.... Dreaming of 140 but I'm not sure what's healthy for me. Keep up the good work

Me too! I can't wait to get the surgery out of the way and start recovering and getting on my way to a healthier me....hopefully with less pain in my life.....I hope this helps...it is the main purpose for me. I can't wait....just about a week and a half away....
