Thank you ranee. I was kind of all set for them to postpone it....I'm in shock a bit but so thankful. Thank all of you for your support and prayers!

UPDATE Soooo my nurse talked to me to see how I was and then called the surgeon....I don't have to go down! Woohoo. So I am to be there at 7 am. I am the second surgery....I think monken is first.....wooo hoooooo. Thank you God!

Yeah...every surgeon is different. I am glad so many on here get to eat veggies still.....I am concerned the most about that. But I think it is important for us all to follow our own docs advice ya know....that way they can tweak it here or there if we aren't losing. I don't think there is just one right plan. I think everyone's body works differently and some who are more active would benefit from some good sources of carbohydrates. I'm comfortable now with his plan because I have done low carb before and know it works for me....I feel tons better about everything. I'm glad you found a plan that works for you too....oatmeal is good for your heart.....I will miss that too.

Thank you ranee. I am still waiting for him to call me....but all the prayers are doing wonders. I am feeling so much better than Saturday.....I wish I had not called now, but I wanted to follow the rules and be safe.

I am very excited,but I wish I would know for sure. Still no call. I am sorry you have had such a difficult time. I am stopping my lupus med for now too. It is so harsh on my stomach, I am afraid to take it. I am averaging about the same calories on my previous opp diet, but it is mostly from protein. Whatever you do....check with the doc first so you don't hurt your tummy. Did you go for the sleeve then? How has it Ben hunger wise? One of my biggest fears is that I still won't feel full. My parents are on their way from out of state to help my hubby and kids. That way he can be there with me.....do thou have family? Are you all healed now and has the leak stopped?

Hi Cyn, yes I am on MFP my name there is KatsMFP. Doing well on the pre-op diet, supposed to have surgery tomorrow, but I caught a little cold so I have to go down there so my surgeon can check out my lungs....I'm still waiting for the call but they did move up my surgery. If I get the all clear, I have to check in at 7. As for the strict meal plan afterwards, I have come to terms with it and feel confident I can stick to it. How are you doing? I don't remember if you were pre-op or not....where are you in your journey, and are your health issues causing problems for you?

I am right there with you....I got lemon lime....the other magnesium crap was red and they said no red.....I hope I haven't gone through all this for nothing. I am so over this shake business, but not looking forward to puréed chicken either lol .... 1 day, 11 hours a and 51 min left to go

Thank you so much. And thank you for the verse. I looked it up right away. He is my refuge and my strength. You are right I know. The update is that he is making me come all the way down there tomorrow so he can listen to my chest. At least I can know that the Lord gave me a good and thorough surgeon. Thank you all for the support, I will let you know how it goes. I don't have an appt. I am on call because he will be in and out of surgery all day, so when they call, I have to be there in one hour, so basically I have to be ready to go at any minute tomorrow because it takes almost that long to get there in good traffic....so we will see. Thank you will again!

Well, I go to my pre-op surgery appt. tomorrow at one pm. I hope everything goes well. Then Friday is my preregistration for the hospital. My parents will be coming down on Tuesday so they can get my kids to school the morning of my surgery then they will drive down the pass and be there for the surgery. so on Wednesday the sixth hubby will drive me too the hospital, about 45 min away. My parents are going to stay at my house while i am in the hospital, and hubby will stay with me and sleep at his moms down in San Bernardino. I wish it was tomorrow. I am scared and want to be on the other side. I just want to wake up and after that, I will not be scared.....it is the anesthesia that frightens me. I have been under for 4 other operations, but each time I have been terrified that I won't wake up. I am also afraid to fail...I don't want to disappoint my family. If you pray, please pray for me. I love the Lord and trust Him, I just don't have very much confidence in me. My surgeon's plan is so strict, I want to follow it and be successful.....I'm just so afraid it won't work ..... Sorry for the whining, I'm just so nervous....thanks for listening Kat

I don't know, I'm just going to pray. That helps me. Also like everyone says...focus on why you are doing this. Decide What is the most important thing to you, then keep your mind on that. God bless you on surgery day!

I was told none, but very doc is different....you could ask your nutritionists

Oh my dear.....you have to file a complaint. There is no excuse for being treated this way. My surgeon said if in an emergency he is forced to change to open, we would have at least a 4 day stay. Please call your surgeon, call the hospital and complain to all. This is outrageous. I'm so sorry this happened to you.
