Well I had already had it approved....that is the problem. I have been on it since I got out and had already got the prior authorization.....they are just inefficient.... I just need something for this crazy pain

Had my 2 week post opp appt. Doc gave me a shot of lytocane for my horrible pain, then gave me a script for more lortab.....get to the pharmacy and the want another prior authorization for meds I have been on for two weeks, oh and by the way that will take a few days.....so I offer to pay cash for the med and they tell me I'm not allowed to pay cash for narcotics that I could lose my Molina.....what the heck is this about.....I am in insane pain and I don't know what to do....I filed a complaint with Molina. They are going to "work on this tomorrow". Please help me Lord! I just don't know what to do....the pain is making me crazy. Please send prayers my way...on the bright side I got my Frankenstein staples out but I've only lost 9 lbs since surgery. I hope everyone is doing well. Its hard to keep up with this pain and husband is going crazy in our messy home....I need to get back on my feet. God bless you all, Kat

MONKEN......I am right there with you. The pain on my left is unbearable stabbing pain....I have already gone through my two bottles of lortab....going to surgeon today. I didn't have a revision though. Sitting makes it so much worse. I threw up some power aid last night and was sneezing this morning which totally aggravated the situation.....we will see what he says today.

Hi everyone....sorry I have been MIA for a few days. My mom and dad went home from taking care of me and on Friday Thursday early am had a heart attack. I went up Friday with my husband and we were there till last night. Dad is OK, had a stent put in, his other bypass is the only thing that kept him alive, he had 98% blockage. I am feeling very guilty, I think the stress of my surgery aggravated his heart. Anyways I am home now, have a blown blood vessel in my eye so it looks like a zombie eye. And the 3.5 hour ride in the car each way didn't help my pain levels at all....but I am glad I was there for my dad and that he is OK. I have only lost 8 lbs since the 6th and am very discouraged since I have been sticking to my docs plan like glue....I am just plain down. Anyways, I am back and will try to keep up now here...I hope everyone is doing well Hugs, Kat

Did you ever think you would be happy to have gas? Congratulations....I hope they release you now. The med makes me sick too....it like do I want to feel nauseous and sweaty or in pain .....I think its the sugar in the syrup...

Great post! I'm only a week out, but can't wait to notice some changes.....the only positive so far is no appetite.

Mine only allows lean protein for the first 75% of weight loss then you get veggies back and at maintenance weight you get fruit back....no more carbs or starchy foods for me.....but that is my surgeon and ,like you said, many nuts and docs have different approaches to our pos op diets....just do what yours says. Everyone should follow their nut and docs own plan....

I'm so sorry honey, it is hard enough to do through this with supportive people, I hope everything works out.....it sounds to me like maybe your husband is afraid of you getting skinny and leaving him....I think they think of our fat as an insurance policy. He might just need some reassurance. Remind him that he is in love with you and you love him.....and that our bodies skinny or fat belong only to each other. Remind him that it is you he loves not your body, ....sometimes our men just need some reassurance. I know it is hard when he is the one being insensitive, but all you can do is try. I don't know your whole situation, but I've been through marriage counseling a few times and have made it 14 years with many hardships along the way....if you ever want to chat PM me. Hey guys. Come over to the fabulous February post....there are so many more over there. Hope everyone is doing well!

First....I feel so bad for not keeping up with how you are all doing. Please forgive me. I have been reprimanded by the nurse for not taking potassium and not getting food or Water requirements in, but it feels like a kick in the stomach every time I put something in there. Yes' date=' I can't seem to drink that much. I love water but it hurts to swallow anything. I feel like I'm swallowing a walnut and getting a kick in in the pouch. I did have a hernia repair...didn't even know I had a hernia. I have 6 incisions instead of 3.... I am setting a timer today to get more fluids in.....it is helping, but the pain is a big issue and I threw up some of my Protein supp yesterday so I'm sore and scared to drink it again.....just two sips and I was throwing up in the bank parking lot....embarrassing. How are you doing? In the hospital they gave me several meds for nausea, the patch worked best. They only sent me home with suppositories.....No thank you. I'd rather throw up. Thanks for thinking of me.

How are you doing misty? Dream in color....my surgery was on the 6th I hope everyone had an easier time than me....I had to have a hernia repair done so I have 6 Lap incisions. Lots of nausea and I am having a hard time getting fluids Proteins and Vitamins....I feel overwhelmed and frustrated., three small swallows of anything even Water and I feel like it is stuck in my esophagus..... Hugs and prayers for you all. I know everyone else will go smooth sailing.

Just got home. I am in lots of pain, liquid lot tab not helping. They had to repair q hernia while they were in there. Came home and the first thing I smelled was my moms corned beef. They cane down to help so I will have to smell her food all week.....torture. Anyways....I will write more tomorrow I'm hurting. Didn't get to see my surgery twin at all. I hope she is doing well

My surgeon says i am to only eat lean proteins, vitamins and protein shakes until 75% of weight i need to lose is off. Then I am to add low carb veggitables and when i get to maintanance i will be allowed to have fruit in moderation. and am to avoid all simple sugars and baked breads or pastas, in other words i have to lose about 80 lbs before i can have anything but lean proteins also no milk. some dairy is allowed but not milk. no oatmeal, cream of wheat....nothing like that. I am confused because i see a lot of the people here eating stuff he says no way to ...like mashed potatoes, tortillas, bread, rice pasta....is my doc alone on this or are there others here who have strict rules? he has a realy good success rate for long term weight loss....i just want to know if there are otherswho are on this strict of a meal plan, I am going to follow his meal plan, but it is going to be tough with everyone else able to eat. I am also a bit worried about my kidneys with only protein ....which is also why we are supposed to carry water or SF drink 24/7.....Any comments would be appreciated. What do you all think of this?

My family has been sick the last few weeks, I have been taking zinc and airborne and extra vitamin c. I have been able to keep well, but my husband lost his job Wednesday and I have been under extra stress. I woke up this morning with a stuffy nose, cough and terrible headache. My surgery is scheduled for Wednesday and may have to be rescheduled if I cannot get better. Please pray for me and my family. We trust in God and His timing, it is just hard to think of going on and ha going to wait and do all my tests again. Also, my husband is doing well with the job loss, but prayers for direction on his next path would be appreciated. Thanks to all who are willing to pray Kat

Thanks for the info....I love the vitamin shoppe. I will look online when I come home. Probably we are scheduled for the same one..they only have one a month and I think it might be this month for me.

Sorry I forgot to update here! They ended up letting me stay home and moving my surgery up....I have to be there at 7a.m. Magnesium citrate is disgusting and I already was having issues with only drinking shakes...there is nothing in there to clean out....blegh.....have a glass of Water near by. I am really nervous, but I am trusting in God. I won't be able to update till I get home though....no smart phone and this nexus is hooked up to my home FiOS so I will be off the grid till I get back. Hugs and prayers to everyone who goes in after me.....see you on the losers bench!

I haven't ....I was looking for something tonight for the clear liquid diet, but I only got as far as target when I had another magnesium citrate attack, so I ended up with sugar free lime Jello. I'm really not that hungry now...I'm too nervous. I am sticking to his plan for sure though. I think everyone on here should follow their own surgeons advice. Do you go to the support group? I live up here in the desert but I think I will be coming down for the meetings.
