I was kind of happy I fail...yeah I sucked, but now it's even more evident that I need the surgery and hopefully I won't get denied by the insurance company

I have my meeting with the nutritionist coming up (first visit). What happens in the session and what is discussed.

Well the second one is to basically test with the CPAP machine.

Well I was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea. I stopped breathing or had shallow breathing 29 times in an hour. Idk what the limit is for failing though...

I live about an hour north of Pgh (Slippery Rock). My surgeon is Dr. Eid out of Magee...idk where the surgery will take place. I will be starting my 5th month of supervised diet in January. I'm really excited/anxious to get everything going. I also meet with the nutritionist and psychologist on January 15th. What all goes on in the psych appt?!

I'm going into my 5th month in January! I'm getting excited! I remember you saying you started your liquid diet...does that mean you're having your surgery in a couple of weeks? I'm getting so anxious I just want the surgery already haha!

I've only gone in for my initial visit to meet with him. I think my next visit with him will be after my nutrition and pysch appts on the 15th...

I'm on my 3rd month out of 6 and I find myself struggling... My surgery will probably be around March or April timeframe. It feels like its so close, but so far away. Is anyone else struggling like I am?

Failed my sleeping test... Ughhh

I have been wondering if someone would be willing to explain the the ending months...I'm just curious on the sequence of events! I have my month 5 weigh in on January 14th and then my final weigh in around the first week of February... I'm wondering after my final weigh in is that my final visit to the doc? If it is can everything be submitted to my insurance company? I was just wanted to get some insight on how the process works! Thanks! ????

I found out today that I failed my sleep test... I have to go back January 14th for my second test. :/

Idk...I was just saying I am nervous about the nutritionist visit. Back in September I felt like this is a personal thing that I wanted to keep private and not have anyone really know about... Then when I start seeing ppl and I'm skinnier they'll wonder what the heck happened... But recently I want ppl to know cause I'm excited about it and Idc what ppl think... Idk...

To be honest I have only told a select few in my family, a couple of my best friends and a few people where I work. I haven't decided on how/if I want everyone to know about it. What did you decide to do?

This is the surgeon I will have! I met him in October for the initial visit... My 6 months will end February 4th. Hoping to have a date in March! Everything went fine? He seemed very nice when I saw him.

I'm 24 and will be going in for my final weigh-in in February. I hope to have approval and a date in March sometime. It's nice seeing other ppl my age that are also going through this.

That's awesome!! I will probably be having my surgery in March of '13. I want to set a goal for 100lbs as well but don't know far put to make it. You did it in such a short time what's your secret?!

What causes you to not be approved? This is what worries me. I get through the entire process then I get disappointed...

That would have been smart of me to do cause I don't have issues sleeping I just put down j get tired during the day and stuff.., I feel like that test isn't passable because they tell you to sleep how you would at home, but how can you sleep like you would at home with wires going every which way.

Yeah I wanted to call today...didn't get to it though unfortunately cause work was so busy. Did everyone have to have a sleep study done? If you did, did anyone pass it or fail?

Yeah... I'm just getting impatient and anxious haha. I still have to have all my blood work done, chest X-ray, the endoscopy, an electrocardiogram, my psych eval, and nutritionist visit to do... I had my first sleeping test last week and there better not be a second... But I was thinking if I get all my stuff turned in by the first week of February I could possibly have it done in February... Maybe reaching a bit, but I can dream haha!
