Biotin Biotin Biotin.....it's a supplement that helps with your hair, nails and skin. I learned about it through another wls patient. (Youtube) I have been taking them since day one since I was able to take my vitamins. I already had somewhat of thin hair because I have hypothyroidism but from the surgery my hair did fall out but not as much and not in clumps. I am now 5 months out. And it is growing back even more ,So it helps !!!

@ sappewife26.....you really just have to learn to pace yourself eapecially in your early stage. I know it can be frustrating at time but maybe while you are eating read or so something that occupies your time. I have learned one as I am eating I might need to take a deep breath just to allow myself to slow down and two eat in stages especially at work break my hour lunch into 30 minutes then and hr later finish my next 30. To just have to figure out what works for you because everyone is different!!! Just slow down and breath!!!! Lol...hopefully it will gt better because dumping is a horrible feeling

Try to stay positive, it will happen I myself have had hypothyroidism for over 12 yrs and have had the same problem. I had surgery on 10/17/13 and it seems the same way for me that I wasn't losing the weight as fast as I thought but believe me it eventually came I am 5 1/2 out and almost 70 pounds down!!! Hang in there it will get better I promise!!! -

I want to know has anyone experience dizziness. I woke up Sunday morning with a bad headache and I was kind of dizzy. I thought it was my blood pressure but I haven't had problems with that in 4 years. I went to the er Christmas eve they done blood work and my potassium was low but it's Friday and I am still experiencing dizziness etc . I just google some info and found out that others experience it as well and it might be coming from a lack of water etc and waiting to long to eat . Does anyone have any experiences to share concerning this matter ?

ladyflagg replied to Nicole K's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am going to try that app to see if I can manage. But I sometimes get more in putting Crystal Lite in my water. And also my doctor told me it was okay to use a straw but for some strange reason I haven't. -
I am loving this app more and more ...I just turn 36 on 11/11. This is nice that you can relate to people your age ....LUV IT!!!

Hi, I am new to this site . I am a month post op. Came across this app by accident but I am glad I did . I started off 283 pre op. Right before surgery weighed 265..... I am know down to 248.9. Decided to have this surgery one because I have Thyroid problems and I was also diagnosed with arthritis 3 yrs ago . To make a long story short after not being able to walk earlier this summer I had to make a life long decision...at 37.

Thank you MrsBlues ....I understand how you feel. I actually did ntt tell anyone in my family except 3 people ...my hubby ...sister and niece. I have 7 sisters and only one knew just because she had the surgery a yr ago in Oct . I just didn't want any negative feed back but to my surprise it wasn't any . My husband called them while I was in surgery...lol . Its good to have some where to go for extra support. I currently live in the St.Louis area but will be relocating to GA ...looking to connect . If you knw of anyone please let me know!!!!
