Here I may have a solution, if you get dumping from too much sugar.? If you do make your self sick from candy so that you no longer want it. I have seen it work for people in my support group. Keep in mind dumping is rough for some people and a wicked deterrent. Otherwise, search for a healthy substitute, like dark chocolate almonds from blue diamond, sweetened with stevia, have protein better for you than Cadbury or Hershey. -
Depends on where you are located, each HEB markets to the type of neighborhood they are in. In San Antonio Bandera and 1604 has its own health food protein section.

Pork chops are the only food I now find deadly. Few bites and they stay and on comes the salivating and pain . Steak without any problem. -
Man how do you feel about plastic surgery?

Well lets see, my wife of 18 years looks totally different then when I met her. She has had breast augmentation X 2 had to have first set replaced after 12 years. She has had lipo of everything and a tummy tuck. When we married she was all natural, I loved her that way. I also love her the way she is now. All of it was done as she wanted it done for her, I thought she was perfect the way she was. I always say if it makes you happy do it. It will not change what is on the inside. -

Internal Staples Question - what metal & reactions
bigmike replied to Cherry's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Generally speaking they are micro staples made of titanium, as it does not have adverse effects in long term implantation. They come in long strips banded to a surgical absorbable material, you can expect quite a few. Check ethicon in a web search for more info, they and depuy are largest manufacturers of robotic staples. -

Highest wt 317lb, date of surgery 01/09/2013 wt 280lb at Dr. Current wt 233lb. Feel great, can eat anything. Gone from 40 waist to 36 with belt in 2 months. Hope everyone else is well. I read posts daily, ya'll are my greatest support. -
Any change in sensation, motor function will usually be related to vitamin/ mineral deficiency. Bottom line see your Dr. And take vitamins for life. Once imbalance is found, may take up to 2 months to return to normal.

Better than care credit is Chase Health Advantage they provide total cost financing plus fixed interest rate.

Ok ladies lingerie is more about you feeling beautiful, it accentuates your curves, leaves some to the imagination. Giving maximum time for foreplay, remember that excitement of being on a date. Teasing up to the point of no return. Leave room for the passion, I for one love lingerie, makes a beautiful woman that much more sexy.

The old adage patience is a virtue, or Rome wasn't built in a day comes to mind. I know you are frustrated, but it will work just takes time. The amount of your calories is low, be sure you are getting adequate protein intake. That way you just lose fat and not any of your muscle mass. I encourage you to fill your mind with positive thoughts, and be kind to yourself. This gets better. -
Omg this woman is driving me nuts on recovery

Being a nurse myself for over 18 years, I can tell you that each patient's pain threshold is different. Also some medications just do not work for some people. You may give a tiny dose to one person and they sleep all day and another you could give a dosage big enough to drop a horse and it just does not work. -

I guess my Doctor was right, he said the small amount that I could consume at a time he doubted I would have food intolerances. So yesterday being my sons 15 th birthday. I had broccoli cheese soup, pizza, breadstick, and a slice of birthday cake. 0 dumping 0 problems. Mind you it was all homemade, ladeled in fat with real cheese. It did however take me 3 hours to finish it. My portion size was sig smaller than my 13 year old daughter's. It was my first real meal since before Christmas. -

Well I like most of us would eat till there was discomfort in my stomach, you know on the left. Now you will feel slight discomfort to the center. Do not worry about pouch stretching as I can drink a ton of fluids, but handle only about 2 bites then time must go by before food is tolerated. -

Ok so advanced to soft protein today. Wait till you try this being a man who could eat six or more eggs pre-op now having 1/2 a scrambled egg and feeling full in a new stomach. WOW!! I find the major difference in before I would be starving and now 0 hunger. -
I was dying with it, after sneezing or coughing. But that was my only pain, was also reassured that it was ok. Felt more like a bruise or hematoma. That said I quit wearing my support and stopped pain meds and the pain is only a glimmer now. So my advice is it will get better.

I also take Bariatric Fusion chewables 4 per day, and that's it. Tropical is not bad either.

Question for my fellow post-opers, any one have superficial pain to their abdomen? I sure do but it is not incisional more like subcutaneous bruising. I am not taking pain meds as it is not to say pain, but more of a soreness. I walk about 2 miles per day, my incisions are well healed, scarring will be minimal. No nausea, tolerating my strained full liquids well. Just wish there was a simple fix for soarness. I may try Arnica gel as that is what a plastic surgeon recommended to my friend post tummy tuck. -

So proud of all of you, gets a lot better after surgery. But get used to the liquids for a while. Plus check your weight being on liquids you'll be losing weight as fast as Mathew Mconaughey for his new movie.

Mine was the 9 th, was hard the first 12 hours then it got easier.

I am doing great, I do not seem to be having the problems other's state. Absolutely no nausea my intake is way above the 64oz mark. No pain only minimal to my left incision. I have been walking about 2 miles a day without problems. I feel energized. I am still on clear liquids till Wed. then advance to full. I hope it stays this way.
