I had RNY surgery in 2006 and lost over 140 lbs and maintained for over 5 years. My original weight loss center went out of business--Not a surprise! After over 2+ years of acid reflux, eating difficulties and a host of other strange illnesses, I learned my stomach was falling apart and I needed a revision., Due to severe anemia from bleeding ulcers, etc. emergency revision surgery was performed by another surgeon in 2012. I reached goal weight and kept losing and recovery has been a struggle. I've had several baloon dilations this year.

TIP: Pick a competent surgeon who has done well over 500 surgeries. My original surgeon had done over 200 and needed more experience.
