    Belly button owie

I had that with my side one. I cleaned it with perixide and then would put the thick brown (corn pad protector) band aide on. Then I would change it once weekly. It is the same as a duoderm. My side one ended up healing the best out of all of mine now.

    January 2013 Post Op

You have lost more than me. I am 1/29/13 and am only down 24 pounds. My sister helps to remind me that she was exercising and dieting since the fall and has only lost 26 pounds. Here I have lost 25 in 1.5 months. I could never have done this without the surgery. First thing you should do is have someone hide your scale!!!! I only weight myself once a week, otherwise I become obsessed and depressed. Don't worry about the scale, it is just a number. Concentrate on how you feel about the new you coming forward!!! By the way, you are doing awesome!!!! I am jealous

    So frustrated!

I know how you feel. My surgery was 1/29/13 and have only lost 22.2 pounds. I start to feel great, then find myself comparing and wondering what I am doing wrong.

    Worst thing ?

I am three weeks out and do not regret my choice. I have lost 16 pounds, though that is not the best thing. I have found that I now eat to live and not live to eat. Going through this showed me how addicted I was to food and helped me to start to help with this addiction. I could have lost the weight without it, but would have gained it back plus more, because I was never treating the real problem. This surgery effects you physically and emotionally. I have had no complications and will admit the first two weeks are hard.

    Pain

Thanks, will try the papaya enzyme first and see what happens. If not I will probably be taking a 1.5 hour drive to my MD.

    Pain

I went to a restaurant and ordered Alaska samon broiled. When it arrived it was swimming on butter. I only got about six tiny bites in before pain and upset stomach. I ended up "burping" 1/4 th of it. Ever since when I try and drink I get pain and start to burp it up to the back of my throat. Has anyone ever had this happen? Is this dumping or something else?

    Pain

2 and half weeks post op. took papaya enzyme but burped it up within 15 minutes . I feel okay until I take a sip of water, then the pain start and I burp the water up to the back of my throat. Never gets in my mouth though now.

    Biotin and pain med

I get sublingual Biotin from Walmart. Just put it indeed your tongue and let it melt. I had to laugh. I too crush my meds, put some Water in my mouth, pour in and swallow and sip!!! It works also good for small pills!

    What ya eating tonight?

I ate out for the first time today. I ordered a grilled chicken fajita with onions and peppers grilled. Ended up eating the innards of half of it ( which equalled 1/2 cup because I measured the other half when i was getting it ready for tommarrows lunch). They also brought my old time fav of deep fried tortia chips with their homemade salsa. I tried a bite of it and my pouch did not like!!! When got home, fed the dogs the hips and wrap shells. Dogs didn't know what to do, they are not use to me brining them home food from a restraunt. even my fiancé made the comment that before I would have eaten my plate and 3/4ths of our sons and now barely eat. I felt very proud that I could eat out and not let my food addiction win.
