Dehydration warning
Lisa Collom replied to Lisa Collom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'll be three months post op tomorrow. I have never been diabetic but I've always had hypoglycemic episodes. I get lightheaded when I stand up a lot, but it passes quickly. This happened as I was walking and it just came up out if nowhere and swallowed me. I think I'm chronically dehydrated. I had three full bags of fluid in the hospital and I peed once. I'm going to have to see my doctor to talk about how to manage this. I can't be passing out like that again. -

Do you like onions and garlic? Sauté them until caramelized, stir in a spoonful of Greek yogurt, season with salt, pepper and thyme and voila...a creamy onion sauce with extra Protein. -

I think it's salmon burgers and roasted asparagus tonight. I'm pretty sure my husband can handle that lol. -

You're so sweet . I'm in bed with my foot propped up dozing away the day. My husband has to take over dinners. Poor guy lol. Luckily I stocked up on easy things. I foresee lots of scrambled eggs and tuna fish. -

Final diagnosis...twisting displaced fracture in my foot. Both knees sprained, and my back is sprained too. I will be sipping like a crazy person from now on. -

I try but drinking makes me a little nauseous. But I'll have to try harder because I am in so much pain. I can barely move. -

It was really good, especially given that I had planned to make something else and didn't have what I needed. My husband and daughter wrapped theirs in tortillas. Mine was like a stew. So good. -

I have myself a pedicure last night. I have lost enough weight to be able to bend straight over my knees to paint my toes without getting dizzy or losing my breath. No more crazy contortions!! -

The more the merrier . I love to cook, so I'm always playing with the foods we like to eat to make them wls-friendly. There's no reason our food shouldn't taste good. My husband has lost 15 lbs since my surgery lol. The only thing for me...since carbs are my kryptonite, I just don't eat them. No bread, pasta, rice, white potatoes. So it can be a challenge. -

Roasted garlic and mozzarella chicken sausage with roasted baby portobellos. Yummy and way filling. I managed 2/3 of the sausage and 1/4 cup of the mushrooms. -

No, I didn't manage both. However, that's only 1/4 cup of tuna, 1 Tb light mayo, 1 tsp Greek yogurt and onions on top of two small tomato slices, topped with a total of 1 Tb of reduced fat cheese. The lettuce leaves were about 4-5 inches in diameter. All total it was about 1/2 cup of food. I ate 1 and 1/2. It's 166 calories, totally yummy and satisfying. -

We don't eat meat on Fridays during Lent, so tonight it's tuna melts. I'm going to broil mine on a tomato slice and then wrap it in a Boston lettuce leaf. Toast for everyone else. -
