Sounds like a good idea. I use Unjury, Bariatric Advantage Vitamins, quest bars, etc. -

how often do YOU get your blood work done?
mmcgee610 replied to itsmekarenlee's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
I have it done whenever my primary care Dr. or my weight loss group advises it. Usually not more than every 6 months -
I use a Ninja when I have a protein drink--I always put ice in it to make it more like a frappaccino!!

tips to keep a stall from bumming you out?
mmcgee610 replied to tiredmama's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I definitely agree with those who recommend not weighing for some time--a month would be good. Just keep doing what you know is right and don't worry about the scale. It can be a demon for you--just enjoy your food and exercise and know it will come off. -

I absolutely have to take myself physically away from the food--and start thinking of something else. And I'm not always successful at doing that--I fight it every day--especially when I'm at work. I don't know if it's avoidance of doing something I don't want to do--or I just like to have something in my mouth. Sometimes gum will help. -

I'm with you--especially at work. You have to go by the coffee and snacks to get to the bathroom in our workroom!! Some days it's just fine, but even though I tell myself that I already know what they taste like, they still get me!! -

I can use Unjury chocolate dream protein powder with unsweetened vanilla almond milk and 2 Tbsp PB2 with quite a bit of ice blended well in my Ninja--tastes like a Frappaccino!! -

What Is (or Was) Holding You Back from Weight Loss Surgery?
mmcgee610 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I chose other after finally deciding that diets were not working for me--and this was this was the best way for me to lose weight. It has been the best decision I ever made about my weight and health!! -
I am a 75 yr. old female--I had RNY in December of 2012. I am mobility challenged, so my weight loss has been slower than someone who can walk or run. I have lost 70 lbs. and am on a bit of a plateau. It has been a great adventure. My first 3 weeks were unpleasant, but since then I have felt wonderful. Hang in there and get plenty of protein. mmcgee610@cox.net
