That's great..the hardest thing I had to do was quit smoking..but I'vE done it..the rest should fall into place..I'm on regular food now and I'm finding it hard to figure out what to eat really..Dr told me to quit worrying about calories but I think i need to add more...idk...this is all trial and error as I go...i wish I had someone to just make out a daily menu for me! I'm gonna try making a menu plan got a week at a time and see if that makes it easier...right now I'm just winging it everyday..getting most of my protein in..still struggling with all the fluid tho...

Do you have some support in your corner? I'm pretty much doing this alone..my kids are around but not really involved...i rely on this site quite a bit..i live on a small community so there's no local support group! But I can do this! I'm ready to shed a lifetime of weight!

I'm struggling with getting out and walking...the weather is my excuse haha...I've always been a walker as my dog needs a walk every day but the last 2yrs my sons have been doing most of that for me as I was dealing with cancer treatment....but now I need to start again since I'm doing everything else to get my health back...no more excuses!

I would suggest talking to your surgeon about checking your gallbladder before surgery...so many end up with gb issues shortly after rny and then havE to have another surgery...if I hadn't told my surgeon I was sure I was already having issues I doubt they would have checked it before hand....I'm not suggesting you will but it might be something you want to bring up to him...

The dietician was thinking I should see her 6 months even tho my INS didn't require it but I was dealing with major gallbladder issues and had Just had an ultra sound done so I just told her I refused to go thru 2 surgeries and I was tired of being so sick..so she signed my release and I had surgery within 2wks...they took out my gbladder and did a hernia repair at the same time as my rny...5 huge gallstones..no wonder I was so sick!
  10. I didn't have any problems with the salad...had radish and carrots on it..i added some canned chicken and shredded moz cheese

  19. That sounds good...I've been trying to find some small frozen dinner things to make since I'm alone quite a bit...I've never been much for that type of meal since I had 3 sons to cook for I usually never bought frozen food other than vegetables or pizza....so any recommendations of things o can get that aren't so high in carbs? I looked at the diet dinners like Atkins...they seem high in carbs and sodium...i tried one and it was gross.....how about potpies? Wonder about the protein in them
  20. Oj was one thing I was told to steer clear of but I'm not a big fan anyway...basicallY avoid any juice unless no sugar added...if you do have juice it should be watered down..can have vegetable juice tho....that's what I was told....
