how long did you wait to exercise after surgery?
WheatThin replied to erin0929's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I have always wanted to try Zumba but I am too afraid that the very sight of it will cause animals and small children to seek immediate shelter. LOL -

Thank you guys so much. I don't mind if I have to order it, but I just thought that I would see if anyone had noticed it in stores anywhere.

Does anyone know where I can purchase the Unjury powder other than their direct website? I have used up the sample pack that was given to me at the hospital so I desperately want more. Please help!

It has been difficult for me to get all of my fluids in too. I feel full sometimes after drinking my Water, so I try to "save room" for my protein. My husband and I went to Wal-Mart this evening and I was fine until the walk to our car. I started to get worn down and sore then but I'm fine now. Maybe we overdid it? You fell?! Are you okay?!

I live in Yadkinville. It is about 20 miles or so from Winston-Salem.

I too was told that the heaviest instruments are used on the left side and that they have to go through muscle on the left side as well. I am still very tender there, especially when getting up and down out of a chair or our bed. It burns more than anything else right now but I am sure that it will be better within a few more days. I am only four days post-op right now.

How Long Was Your Hospital Stay?
WheatThin replied to sleevemeup's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery on January 29 at 7:30am and was home by 4:00pm on the 30th. Thankfully, I had no complications and everything went very smoothly. As someone said before though, it greatly depends on your surgeon and each person's individual situation. I live about 55 miles from my surgeon, so I was right at the cut off distance of being allowed to go home the next day. If you don't feel comfortable going home after one day then I suggest asking for another night if possible. -
I have been wondering the same thing. I assume that the 30 minute rule does still apply since soup is technically a food and possibly more filling. I have still been implementing the rule, but I have been curious as well.

I too am having trouble getting anything down. I literally have to force myself to eat. It is such a strange feeling for me to feel full and satisfied after only three to four bites. I am now two days post-op and still a little sore and uncomfortable, but it's nothing unbearable. I still haven't pooped yet though. I can poot like nobody's business I just can't poop. Anyone else having or have had this problem?

Shoot, I wasn't finished. lol I don't remember much about being in recovery other than being in a lot of pain and groaning a lot. lol I was able to walk up and down the hall about five times last night once I got over being so groggy. It helps, trust me! I ate ice chips and nothing else until this morning. I was brought Popsicles, Jell-O, decaf coffee, and Crystal Light for Breakfast but all I could tolerate at the time was ice chips. For lunch I got down about two bites of creamy Soup and two little plastic cups of Carnation Instant Breakfast. I have absolutely no appetite whatsoever so I'm having to force myself to drink Water. I am looking forward to losing the gas pains and swelling. Good luck to everyone! We can do this!

Yay! I am now post-op and home. I was a lot sorer than I thought I would be because I was in recovery for a couple of hours. I don't remember much about
