I just had the traditional bypass on 10-30-12. I am a 41 year old African American male from the Philadelphia area. The first three days since the surgery have been filled with adjustments and discomfort but I am still excited about the whole process. I'm on my way home. I'm sipping away. I started this journey over a year ago. I can't believe I followed through! Are there any other 10-30-12 folks out there?

Merry Christmas. I'm making steady progress. I need to focus on exercise more but overall I'm not doing too bad. 345 start...currently 296. I'll take it. Hopefully I'll hit the 50lbs mark today. -

Thanks for sharing. I'm still on a liquid diet. I hope to avoid the blues as much as possible. I'm trying to keep my eyes on the prize. The prize now is sugar free pudding and fudge-sicles next week! -
