Glad I could help. Glad it went so well.

My mother was the first person to ask the doctor this. The doctor did tell me that yes I will be able to drink. He does not recommend it for at lease the first 6 months and then remember that because of the change in my body I will get a buzz a lot faster. So if and when I choose to drink do it somewhere you can stay like home and plain on not leaving for the night. Also remember a little goes along way.

I too had my surgery on the 15. Anytime I lean or lay or bend with my left side I get some pain. It does go away after a little time. If for some reason you find your self in pain for a long period of time I would call your doctor and just ask. Good luck and hope your pain will pass soon

Jeff I had a friend of twenty years freak out on me when I told them about the surgery. I was called lazy and that I was cheating. I even tried to tell him that it was for medical reason. He told me that I am not just doing the easy way and that I really need to not do this. Well after three days of this it dawn on me that no matter what I say he is not going to change his way and that he is not one to lean on right now. Once I did not push the issue I learn what was behind him being a butt head but it did not help those days. So my best advice is to say thank you to the person who is staying something you don't like and change the subject. You will learn who is there for you and who is not this way. It was hard to do at the time but the best thing I could do is get the surgery and move on. I pray my friend will come around and that is all I can do. Trust your good support and laugh at your bad support as much as you can.

I totally understand what you are going through. My sister will tell me almost daily. I am not on a liquid diet you are. I am lucky that I don't have to cook for my family. I still do get mad at the things that are said. It ok to get mad that why we are here to listen and support you through it. -
Good luck and praying for you and your doctor.

Mine was really sweet. I had to do both a written text and had to talk to her. For me she went over my reason and my goals. She wanted details like when do I think I will be at my goal weight. What do I have to do before, during and after surgery. She also touch a little bit on my support group and what my normal life is like. She was wonderful and if my insurance did not change to one she does not take I would so be back. Good luck and the number one thing I can say about it is don't be in a hurry. Give yourself time. They have to be there all day and I know if I feel rush then I always forget something. On the test be honest. If issue come up you want them to happen now so they can be addressed.

One of my favorite sayings is "I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it." I understand your fears and they are good to have now because if they are were you know them then they will always stay fears and never realty. I look forward to reading your blog and going through this with you.
