    I was told at this point they are optional but no more than 1/day so that my gut stays awake and busy working.

    October Surgery Dates

    I just started working with a personal trainer tonight. I wanted to shake my workout up more to try and keep body guessing and reduce stalks. Oh my...he kicked my butt! My arms are still like jello!
  4. Salads have little nutritional value and no protein--protein before ANYthing else. It would also be hard to digest the raw lettuce and veggies. I'm 11 weeks out and do not eat over 1/2 cup
  5. I LOVE the Ritz Whole Wheat Crackers--goes great w tuna, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese. I usually have 3 at a meal--usually just once a day.
  6. I eat at a Mexican restaurant with my family fairly often. I get a scoop of beans with a scoop of taco meat--I also put a little salsa in top. I also get grilled shrimp plain sometimes and dip in salsa.
  7. I can't have nuts or peanut butter or anything hard/crunchy/fibrous till 3 months

    I don't get the food comments either--only thing is when we eat w my mom, she constantly asks me if I'm feeling sick! Lol I tolerate most any foods--haven't thrown up any but have had couple spells of nausea or dumping. I feel like I've been really lucky.

    I think we are definetly on the right track! I think that for so many of "us" this surgery is the final chance and means SO much and that causes us to want the weight loss so bad and quick--our bodies have been through A LOT in only 3 months...and look how far we've come and it's just the beginning!!!! Ok--that was my "self" pep talk

  14. Cottage cheese, Greek Yogurt--still my staples at 11 weeks
  15. A lot of what you are experiencing is due to the texture--which is liquids--I was same way at start and worried my pouch was too big lol. My NUT assured me it was bc it was liquids, and sure enough, when I started soft FOOD I realized she was right!
  16. I find tuna and chicken very difficult still at 10 weeks out. I did best with lean ground beef or ground turkey--try putting some salsa on it for moisture.

    What was sugar content in the soup? I found at the very early weeks I had hardly any sugar tolerance--I'm 10 weeks now and it's better

    I did best on my side w pillow between legs to take some pressure off my back--then my husband would put pillow behind my back as well. If pain in abdomen when trying to stand up or similar-get small firm pillow to apply pressure to abdomen for bracing when moving

    Yes, pain gets better, keep walking-helps with gas, use pain meds

    I do fine w ham--9 weeks out--if I hit a really chewy piece I just spit that out
  24. Was at an annual Christmas party tonight and had 1 glass of Chardonnay--have had couple times before w no problems--but...I was "in the spirit" and had a 2nd glass...yuck yuck yuck--felt so icky and nauseated and have drank LOTS of water since! Learned my lesson!! Just hope I'm better at this before we go to the Dominican in Feb...
