On the plus side, it gives me another month or so to lose my initial weight loss the surgeon wanted!
Im ALMOST there.

Yea.
I was denied.
Insurance said I need a couple more appointments which the bariatric coordinator still doesn't agree with and doesn't add up in his paperwork. I can send in the other paper work for my upcoming appointments in about 6 weeks.
Such a long journey! I hope the 2nd time is a charm!

Finished all my appointments in December and my coordinator sent all paperwork about 2 weeks ago. He said usually they come back in a couple weeks with an answer.
It wouldn't hurt to call the insurance and check on it right?
Anticipation kills me!
But I am just clueless as to what to say to them..? LOL

I hope you hear from them soon!
I am in the same boat as you, waiting on the insurance response!

You're half way there!!
I finished my 3 month in December.
Good luck to you!

The same thing happened to me too.
I went in thinking I wanted the band but all the information he had given me, changed my mind right then and there.
He also told me he was taking more bands out than putting in.
The band is not for me, and I'm glad you found out it wasn't for you either!

I was so worried about it too! It was so simple. Hardest part was waiting in the bed in the hospital room.
Doctor was about 45 minutes behind as it is so that was the only hard part.
Once I got into the surgery room, they made me lay on my left side, made me gargle this nasty nasty nasty awful stuff. Then had to swallow this huge 2 tablespoon stuff, was the consistency of honey. That was the worst part. I dont remember anything, I was out like a light. Woke up in recovery and was fine. Just felt high from the drugs.

Congrats!

I've been browsing these forums for awhile, decided to get it on the chatting! Started my journey just a couple months ago, going for a March/April surgery date.
There's some great people on these boards, with great storys. I could use some friends who know what im going thru!

About 3 weeks ago at my gym I started doing the elliptical... I did it for about 90 seconds and couldn't walk, couldn't go up my stairs in the house, for 3, 4 days after that.
LOL
I kept at it, kept at it... (Even tho I had a hard time walking back out to where I parked the car!!!) and today I did 20 MINUTES on it!! I was so happy when I left the gym!
Just a personal goal of mine I wanted to share. ( Pre-op )
