My surgeon diagnosed me with Gerd when he did my upper endo. He put me on prilosec, gave me a rash. Put me on Zantac, gave me bad side effects. He then told me he wasn't going to put me on anything else. This was, 2, 3 months ago. Over the weekend it has gotten VERY bad. This acid has risen, given me a VERY sore burning throat, obviously burning my throat and esophagus, given me nausea and Im suffering so bad. Im calling him, or his nurse in the morning. I don't know what to do? Anyone here go thru this?

This makes me REALLY nervous. I used to have really bad acne as a teen, as a lot do. Mine was much worse and actually took meds by mouth that were so harsh Im still dealing with the effects of it. (Im 25 now and the meds are off the market now) So thinking of how I used to be, I am so scared about this.

Get me feeling nauseated thinking about it.

Is the 4 months for insurance or his requirements? Im confused. My insurance requires 6 and you will not get approved til that is fully done. -

About 3 weeks ago at my gym I started doing the elliptical... I did it for about 90 seconds and couldn't walk, couldn't go up my stairs in the house, for 3, 4 days after that. LOL I kept at it, kept at it... (Even tho I had a hard time walking back out to where I parked the car!!!) and today I did 20 MINUTES on it!! I was so happy when I left the gym! Just a personal goal of mine I wanted to share. ( Pre-op )

My feet haven't been going numb anymore.. Maybe they just got used to it? LOL.. Ive been at the elliptical for over a month now and can do 45-60 minutes at a time. It is a slow jog at around 6mph but on the treadmill I could only get up to 3mph.. lol

What your referring to as the nutrition class we called it Life Skills Workshop, it was for 3 hours for 3 weeks and was basic education, most stuff I had already known. Dietitian / Nutritionist is very helpful, I've seen her for going on 6 months and she helps a lot. We go over what I've ate and the exercise I'm doing and have a weigh in. The physc eval was a breeze. Nothing to worry about. Basic questions on why I want surgery, and knowing all the pros and cons, ect. That its a tool we have to use, its not doing the work on its own. Don't worry. Its all very helpful in this long journey!
