I need help!!! Lately I have been having a lot of issues with gagging? ?? Yes gagging... Normally when I wake up in the morning I gag until I eat or drink something and it continues alllll day long?! I am 5 months post op and lost 98 pounds so far does any one else have similar issues or have any advice to what can be causing this or anything I am so sick of gagging all day please help me Jordyn

Before August 22, 2012 weighing in at 289.3 pounds Current:) February 2, 2013 weighing in at 193 pounds!!!

I'm Jordyn I'm 20 and I had my surgery on aug. 22 of this year so I'm 4 months out!! I have lost 85 pounds!! And that is great but for like 3 weeks now I have only lost .5 a pound I've platued does any one know of any ways to re kick start my weight loss I am no where near done losing weight I still have about 50-70 pounds to go any help u all can give will be appreciated! Well had to have emergency surgery Friday I had a hernia and a twisted intestine I'm in a lot of pain still I got to come home last night :/ has anyone else even thru this? Any advice? Jordyn

That said nothing I did could have caused it all they said was it was the surgery.. I am about to be 5 months out next week!

Well this is how it went!! Thursday during the day I was perfect no pain no nothing just a normal day! Went to my friends after dinner about 6 pm had scrambled eggs and sausage nothing out of the normal to eat for me!! Hung out an was suppose to stay the night well about midnight I got what felt like a stomach cramp an knew I better get home incase I throw up.. So I came home an went to sleep! I woke up about 2 in more pain than I went to sleep with! Figured maybe it was gas! Went back to sleep by 330 am I woke up again tried walking to my bathroom and I was so dizzy an could barely walk due to the pain... My sister woke up and got my mom an I told her to take me to the er now! So we went!! Thank god! I got there at 415 am they really weren't taking me seriously til I said I had RNY then they ordered a ct scan and it shows that my pouch and small intestine from what they thought were just swollen and irritated!! So the er dr called my surgeon and they halo flighted me to my dr and I went into emergency surgery to see what was wrong exactly, turns out my small intestine some how got a hugeeee hernia and was twisted and actually had sucked itself in to the intestine itself it was just a hugeeee knot! Needless to say they had to laparoscopicly undo the knot!! I am now back home finally got home about 11 pm Saturday I have been in an unexplainable amount of pain since Friday at 3am the harder part to the whole thing was the dr telling me and my mom that we r racing against the clock! As the clock was counting the minutes to death... I was within minutes of dying... To the point that I called my brothers, sister, friends, aunts, uncles everyone to tell them good bye and to always remember me... Just take everything that deals with ur pouch and pain extremely seriously!!!

This was happening to me it was about 7 weeks after my surgery... They ended up putting me back in the hospital the opening for my throat to my pouch had closed completely they said the only open space for foot and water to flow was the size of the tip of a ball point pen... I couldn't even get water down it was miserable! I had waited a week like this before even telling my dr... So therefore I was do dehydrated that they couldn't even put an Iv in me they tried 7 times and finally got one in my shoulder it was the worst pain ever my dr had told me after placing a stent inside me to keep it open (it will be there for the ret of my life ;/ ) that if I had waited about 2 more days I would have probably died from no food or water what so ever it's very scary hopefully urs isn't as bad as mine was best of luck Jordyn

I was 19 when I had my surgery on August 22 of 2012 now I'm 20 and doing alright!

Yeah but that's the thing I'm 4 months out and it barely started... I should already be back to normal

Don't know what to do about my period I'm having a period every other week now I had my surgery in August and this didn't start til October the cramps are do horrible I don't know what to do any one else have this problem?

I'm totally interested my new life started August 22 2012 but I have already been back in the hospital once on october 5th I am barely 20 as of October 9th and this is the hardest thing I have ever been thru!!! It happened slowly over about a week an thanks for the support it's very scary going thru all of this at 19 wish I would have waited a while!!!

Hi my name is jordyn I was 19 when I had RNY on aug 22 2012!! Two weeks ago I had begun to throw up constantly everything even medicine and Water... To the point that I couldn't do it any more I was so dehydrated it was horrible. I called my dr an he sent me in for a scope in which they found that i had built up so much scar tissue in 5 weeks that the opening to my pouch was the size of the tip of a ball point pin... They placed a stent in there and put me on liquid diet again for 4 days as soon as I returned to soft/ purée foods I have begun throwing up again... Has any one been through this if so please help me.. I contacted my dr an was put on 2 more days liquid diet... This is horrible!!! So far I am now 7 weeks out and have lost 48 pounds!!!!
