    Weight Loss 13 Days Out

I've been stuck on the same weight for two weeks. I am 3 weeks out tomorrow. Week one I lost 12 lbs, but nothing since then. I am walking and watching what I eat, drink only water. Idk... I have a check up tomorrow. Hopefully they will shed some light on this.

    Food Poisoning?

I'm almost 3 weeks out and every time I eat tuna it makes me sick! I have never had problems with it pre-op, but after surgery it has always made me feel icky and gross.

Stall At 2 1/2 Weeks Out

That is happening to me also. My surgery was sept 27th, and I lost 12 lbs the first week out. I have now gone an entire week without losing anything, and I gained a pound. Don't know what's going on but I hope it passes soon! Today my surgeon has started me on "sensible" solids. So I can have chicken, turkey, cheeses, and other basic foods just no high sugar and fat. Scares me because I've been on liquids and stalled and now I have to start eating more food.

    Puree Stage

Chili is something I do also. Wolf and hormel both have 99% fat free chili and it is 24g of protein per serving. I add a little cheese and fat free sour cream, it's been the yummiest. Also, fat free refried beans with guacamole, salsa and sour cream. Tastes like a burrito!

    Stalled....

At first it was a little rough. I stuck to broth and pudding despite him telling me I could eat other things. Jello was extremely hard for me, i threw it up anytime i Attempted to eat it. After a week I started mashed potatoes, turkey chili (puréed thinly), and eggs. Eggs have been kinda difficult to digest, but nothing has hurt when I eat it. I just found it odd that I could go back to normal foods after two weeks. Normal being chicken, tuna, cheese, etc. Every other diet I see, it says to wait 4 to 6 weeks after surgery for that. Occasionally I will take too big of a drink and it feels like I swallowed a golf ball lol.

    Bypass Vs Sleeve

My mother had the sleeve a year ago, she is 100 lbs down now. It worked best for her because she was on arthritis medication an a lot of other stuff. Her start weight was around 250. I just had the bypass sept 27. I chose the bypass because it seemed that heavier people had more success with it, myself on surgery day I was 302 lbs. My recovery has been shockingly painless. The day of surgery I was able to walk and go to the bathroom. The only issue I had was nausea and gas. Nausea has subsided now and I can eat (mushy stuff) painlessly, and I don't have a problem with fluids.

    Stalled....

How long was your soft food stage? I am almost two weeks out and my dr started me on mushy puréed food as soon as I got home from surgery. According to his diet I can start solids after my second week, which seems different than most plans I have seen. Is anyone else's diet similar?

    So Discouraged-Scale Hasnt Budged

Me too! I am early into this, my surgery was sept 27th. But I lost 18lbs the two weeks before surgery, 12 the first week, and now nothing for the past 4 days. It's discouraging I am not eating hardly anything other than yogurt and isopure and water but I am still not budging. I don't know of this is normal so early...
