Are the cravings still there even after 4 months to 4 years out? Sweet tooth is what got me to this place. I am hoping after the surgery I never put another piece a candy or cookie in my mouth???? -

I agree about wasting life, yep used to feel doomed. I am scared but i gotta shake it off. I know this is the best thing for me

Haven't had my surgery yet. I am 56 my hubs is 47. I am doing the WLS for me for my health and for my granddaughter. When I met hubs 13 yrs ago I weighed 274 he weighed 353. My top weight was 306 he is still at his at 450. I have lost down to 284 due to shrinking for WLS I know I can do this hubs I don't think can ever. He has been heavy all his life since 5 yrs old. I have asked him many times wouldn't he like to see how normal feels. I gained my weight starting at 28. Mostly from depression. I could care less if I ever have sex again and damn sure don't ever want another man. I just want to be healthy and able to feel good and not be the biggest one in the pictures anymore. Hubs has no worries that I would leave him no reason to get jealous. But I really wish he would consider WLS too he did mention he will see how it goes for me and maybe he will. Crossing my fingers

I know food is our addiction or we wouldnt be here. I have heard that when you have an addiction and then you fix that addiction you start another one. Because as humans we do that to lean on something self gratification. For you folks who have had the food addiction and have had surgery and no longer are addicted to food. Have you seen your self get another one like shopping, drinking, smoking. maybe even exercise?

Phewww so glad you said take the 5000 mg of biotin that is what I got. I started thinning about a year ago haven't had WLS yet so I wanted to kick start it before the surgery
-
I would hope that exercise will be my new addiction, i have had so many in my past. And conquer them all. But food was my friend. But of all my addictions i think food harmed me the most.

I am sure they get tiring eating the vitamins and they are so freaking huge. That's what got me. I haven't had my surgery yet. But they gave me the bit and cal to start taking and I got some biotin to start taking now -

Thank you for the kind words, need all the support I can get. Even if from strangers. Don't have much family and friends are scarce
