  2. Beginning of marriage I cooked, not alot cause I worked evenings. He loves fried foods mostly burgers fries pizza hot wings. I don't cook that. He was so far gone when I married him it was hard for him to stay away from the drive thru's . I had finally realize that even if I cooked something be it spaghetti or meat loaf. Fish he would hit drive thru earlier and then eat another meal when he got home. Packed on the LBs fast then. All we do is Co exist now. He works from 3 to midnight stays down in his man cave playing some zombie multiplayer online game and watches sports. I am cool with that. I stay upstairs in the living room watch my shows. It's the new marriage lol know alot of people who live like this weird to some but it works

Yes I think so too, I had one when I was cut open from navel to pube line when I had a full hysterectomy and it helped me so much. Kinda curios as to why they don't think so with laposcopic surgery?

ask my surgeons clinic about a binder for my stomach after surgery, they said NO do not get one or use one, not for a larpascopic surgery. they said if it was the old type surgery where they split you open then yes you would get a binder, but a binder should never be used for larpascopic, glad I asked
  11. I was just telling someone last night about this. Saw one girl who is 4 days post op already purée food and eating mash potatoes and gravy. First thought was I thought you were only allowed protein shakes and water first 2 to 3 weeks. It was freaking me out. 1 girl 3 weeks out said she was feeling so good going to a friends party wanting to know if she could drink alcohol. Really ? These are the same ones who are going to poo poo on this surgery. Yes I know it's hard but why do they want to be fat all over again? Makes no sense to me

    Crying! :'(

I have been the same way, i am on a emotional rollar coaster right now. losing my job last week. have root canal surgery friday morning, first preop appt on the 20th and the surgery the 31st. I have been flooding the tears, just like my eyes have sprung a leak. i know i am stronger then this. but I know i am making great choices in my life. but my heart is saying differently. i am not eating very much, i am sleeping too much. i walk around in a cloud. yall are the only ones i can talk to. i cant show my weakness to my husband or my son. they think i am the all powerful OZ. pretty much. but I am so weak right now.

I am going to ask them to be sure to put the needle in my left arm. I am right handed, and when i had my total hysterectomy in 99 they put the IV pump in my right arm and i had a hard time trying to pull myself up to go to the bathroom or walk. so i want it in my left arm to leave my right arm ok. also i have a big vein in both arms that you can drive a Mac truck through, so they shouldnt have any difficulty finding a vein thank goodness.

Not Trying To Be A Downer But?

You too, I was just reading a post on some that are 4 days out talking about eating mash potatoes and gravy purée I don't get it. I thought for the first few weeks you can only have water and protein shakes? It's getting confusing to me. Yes I know it's going to be hard to give up those carbs but these will be the same people 4 months in that will say they only lost 20 lbs so far. And duh really maybe don't eat mash potatoes and gravy.

    Feeling some kind of way

Haven't had my surgery yet but for the first 2 months after my surgery I will remain in sweats. I am going to do what I am told to do. Take or drink what I gotta drink. Take my time do small exercise and win this thing called life. As my father in law told me. You know your not having brain surgery it's stomach surgery. Your brain is going to constantly tell you your hungry and depressed. So you gotta win this and beat the negative stuff your brain tells you. I am so scared too. But I am 56 and I want to feel better I want to move better and I just want to be healthy. The leaner body is a bonus
