I totally agree with you. I had planned to make them at home so that everything In them was allowed. I don't plan on eating anything I'm not allowed too.

Did you guys eat them when you were in soft foods?
  9. Haven't started yet. Tomorrow is my first day in puréed/blended
  10. Personally I am starting with a scrambled egg and I think blended chicken salad for lunch. I found a recipe that replaces the mayo with Greek yogurt. And blended chili for dinner. The other things on my list I could choice from we're low sugar yogurts, sugar free pudding, blended meats, tuna salad, egg salad, cream of wheat, rice, or oatmeal.
  11. I will be one week tomorrow and I get to start blended/puréed food.
  12. So I had surgery on Tuesday ( 22nd) and this morning I started to experience a burning ripping sensation around upper abdominal. This is normal right?

  14. I had surgery on Tuesday ( January 22)! Everything went well. They kept me overnight because I was throwing up and had a slight fever but the doctor just came in and said I can be discharged today!!! I'm also excited to say that my pre op weight loss went from 280 ( in November 2012) to 254 ( Tuesday)!!! I was so proud of myself and I am so excited to say that I am finally post op and on the losing end now!

    Day 1

Today is day one of the pre op total liquid diet. Surgery is jan 22 and doctor wants me to lose 5-6 more pounds
  22. Lehigh valley hospital has about a 600 dollar program fee and st. Luke's didn't have a fee. The reason st.lukes doesn't have one Is because they don't bill for your visits with the nut and social worker and stuff. I believe that Lehigh valley doesn't bill either but they still get there money from the program fee. I'm really happy with st. Luke's. another thing about st. Luke's is that doctor el chaar and doctor Claros did there fellowship in bariatric surgery and that's all they do. There rate of complications is very very low and they are very good at what they do

How long did it take you?

I went to a informational night the end of October. Went to see doctor in November. Went through the psych eval, nutritionist appointment, blood work. In December got my cardio clearance. A day after that got my approval. Went to support group two days later. Surgery date is January 22. Just had my EGD done today. Tomorrow is my pre op class and Friday is my last appointment with doctor than I'm done till surgery!
  24. I had a sleep study done About a year ago and turns out I have obstructive sleep apnea that's pretty severe. I stop breathing 115 times an hour. I've tried using my CPAP but other than the first night I wore it ( for my second sleep study) I can't sleep with it and just have gotten to the point were I don't use it. I am having surgery on January 22 and I am hoping they don't require me to wear it ( I know I have to bring it just in case). I can't wait to lose weight and hopefully get rid of my sleep apnea for good!!
