Omg you ladies made my night tonight. I have lost 82 pounds so far and thought I wasn't doing well because my weight loss has really slowed down a lot. Now I feel like I'm doing ok because I'm right with you guys. Thank you guys for posting how much you've lost. It's really lifted my spirits. I was being so hard on myself. Thinking I wasn't doing well at all. I had my surgery 10/10/12. Thanks again ladies!!!

I'm 4 1/2 months out and tried salad this weekend for the first time and it went great. I actually felt really good after eating it. I love salad too!!! My doctor would prefer you wait until 6 month mark but I just couldn't wait. I tried a Wendy's salad they have a half portion size. Good Luck!!!

I had my surgery on 10/10. My sugar is starting to drop around 3 or 4 pm. I start shaking, get light headed and start to feel like I'm about to pass out sometimes. I start getting really hot too. Am I doing something wrong? My doctors office told me I need to eat less at lunch and eat a snack about 3 pm. Do any of you guys have this?

Can anybody tell me how far out from surgery do you have to be before you can have a salad or pasta?

I've been eating fish and its going down just fine. I'm just a month out. I'm not supposed to but I did :-)

It sounds like you might have a structure. They told me it was a possibility it might happen around this time.

I was wondering what you guys were allowed to eat one month out from surgery????

Hey treetoplisa!!! We are surgery buddies!!!! Thank you for you posted. I like what your dietician had to say. It made sense. It's nice to hear. It's also really nice to hear that we are all having the same problem. Water is super hard for me to get down too. I'm also doing the Premiere Protein Shakes. How do you like them??? I've only tried Choc. and vanilla. Have you tried the strawberry ones? I was just wondering if they were any good.

Dr. Barnes did my surgery too!!!! I had mine done on 10/10/12. He's a great surgeon!!!!

Me too!!! Let's definitely stay in touch!!!! I really mean that!!! We can support each other and get to a size zero a little slower than everyone else :-) We didn't make it there this week so maybe by next week lol!!!!

It is frustrating!!! We have drastically reduced our calorie intake so I feel like weI should be a size zero by now lol!!! Just kidding!!! I try not to compare myself either but it is really hard not too. I feel like I'm doing something wrong too!!! I feel like I'm behind. I'm so glad to hear your going through the same thing :-)

Dear God please give me strength!!! I really want to cry right now. My Husband made tacos for him and my Mom (who's here visiting and helping). This is just pure torcher. I just want to eat something so bad!!! I'm not even hungry. I don't know that I'm strong enough to make it some days.

Hello everyone!!! I need your advice. My surgery was on Oct. 10 and I have not had a bowel movement yet. I'm on clear liquid only diet right now until Monday. Is this normal to not have a bm for so long? Should I wait a little longer or should I go ahead and just call the doctor? I'm sorry if this is a little personal but I'm not sure if I should be worried yet or not.

I got to go home today!!! I have been feeling pretty good but the gas pain has gotten pretty bad. I have been walking a lot. Is there anything else I can do? If it weren't for the gas pains I think I would feel pretty darn good. The left side pain is tolerable. How long does the gas last?

Hi everybody!!! My surgery went good today!!! They did the RNY and repaired my Hiatal Hernia. When I first woke up from surgery I was in a lot of pain but they immediately start giving me more pain medicine and was also hooked up to a pain pump. The pain got tolerable after that. The pain is mainly on my left side. My stomach muscles are so sore. But I can actually say it's all tolerable and not as bad as I thought. The worst part so far was when I first woke up and for about an hour after that. My mouth has been SOOOO dry!!! They let me have some ice chips and I also use a wet wash cloth to help. I haven't gone for a walk yet but I have been sitting on the edge of the bed and standing up a little bit. Rolling in bed was really tough. I hope all my surgery buddies are doing good too!!!!

We r headed to the hospital!!! Surgery is at 7:30 am. I'm so nervous but ready for the next stage in my life!!!

My surgery is tomorrow!! Feeling pretty good about it. Please say a prayer for me!!!

Lol!!! I guess so!!! This surgery consumes my mind all day long. I think about it non-stop. I'm so tired of worrying all day about it but I'm so scared to have the surgery too!!!

My surgery is Wed. One minute I'm ready to get the show on the road and the next minute I'm ready to back out. Emotional roller coaster!!!
