    Probiotics

    Has anyone else read about the benefits of adding probiotics after surgery? Repeatedly I've seen a write up about a study at Stanford and how beneficial it is to add a daily supplement. Just wondering if anyone has tried it or had it recommended.

  5. Hi everyone! Sometimes it takes looking at side by side photos to really make it sink in. I'm still losing but it has drastically slowed down so instead of getting down on myself I made a quick side by side photo to finally see the difference. The first one is the morning of my surgery, the second was taken last week. I'm down over 100lbs with 16 more to go to my Dr's goal and 36 to my personal goal.     If you're having problems keeping your food warm try putting your plate on one of those coffee cup warmers... I picked a couple up at Bed Bath and Beyond for about $5 each and they are a lifesaver

    I make my "pizza" with only cheese and toppings.... you use a nonstick pan, put a layer shredded mozzarella in it, once it gets nice and bubbly add your toppings and a little parmesan. Check the bottom because it will crisp up then remove to a plate for about a min. Then I dip it in a little low sugar marinara sauce... delicious!!! I usually cut it in 4's but can only eat about a slice.

  9. Don't worry about your calories right now, just your protein amounts and water intake... I really struggled with the flavor after surgery and ended up trying about 10 different brands until I found one I loved...

    I used to LOVE Cherry Berry Chillers so I just checked their website for nutrition facts... the small one is 200 calories, 49g sugar and 49 carbs... for me that's no go

    Try soy milk... that along with Isopure Vanilla are my favorites... their premixed stuff is beyond nasty... if you're a coffee drinker try adding decaf instant crystals and some sugar free syrups... its amazing

    My pack rat ways with clothes are paying off I'm wearing the shirt I had on the night my husband and I got engaged 5 years ago! Whenever I see pictures from that night I've always thought it was the last time I looked skinny in photos. The best part... its actually a little big now

    I know that was my problem! My pants were ready to burst preop! Sadly, the day I officially decided to take this journey I was at the store picking up vitamins and while trying to decide if I wanted regular ones or some weight loss formula I knocked down an item accidentally... when I bent down to pick it up my pants completely split up the butt... talk about a sign!

    Thank you so much!!! I hope this helps... I'm on the go a lot because of work with little to no breaks most days so I actually do protein shakes a lot... breakfast is Click Coffee protein with random sugar free syrups. Lunch is typically either a slice of roasted turkey and a piece of string cheese or an Isopure Zero Carb protein shake with instant decaf coffee and SF syrups. For snacks I do 1/2 of a Dannon Light and Fit Greek Yogurt or 2oz of beef jerky... dinner is usually grilled chicken with a couple bites of a salad or sometimes I use recipes from Emilybites.com. I find that I drop the most when my protein is around 80 or more grams a day and when I get my water in. The other big help is my fitbit... days I get in at least 10,000 steps seem to always break any stalls. When I have the time I do at least 30 mins walking/pathetically jogging on my treadmill.     How many pounds to new pants?

    I read somewhere that for plus size clothing depending on height that the difference between sizes is typically around 25-35 lbs... and that standard sizes are around 10lbs between sizes...

    November 2012 Members Post Op

    Anyone else have a pouch that is picky about the time you eat? The last couple of days have been hectic and I've been eating supper later then I like to... then about dying after... its not that I'm eating anything I shouldn't or haven't tried yet so the only thing I've been able to narrow it down to is that its a couple hours later then I would normally eat... thank God for papaya enzyme... they do help!
