Can I give blood 2 months post-op?

I was told by my doctor we can never give blood again. I don't know why though. -
They rescheduled me for a week from today the 29th I'm kind of bummed but its only a few more days.

My surgery is on Friday 1/25. I couldn't be more excited and nervous at the same time. The journey has been a bit long but is worth it. Starting weight 305 Pre op weight 286 Surgery 1/25 will keep u posted to the weight.

It could be worse my drs office submitted to med group for approval only to find out that its excluded from my policy if not medically necessary. I'm am so frustrated. I have done everything and even liquid diet! Now all this bull....I'm not too worried though I have the co morbities.

I'm on day 14 of two protein shakes and a lovely 4-6 oz lean meat with veggies for dinner. No snacking, grazing, nothing! I have lost 16 so far. Not so bad but man I have to do this before surgery and I don't even know if I'm approved yet. It's killing me smalls. I just want this over so I can hardly wait for the day they call me and say you are approved! -

So I just went to do the preop stuff with my primary dr. And so I did the cxr, ugi, EKG, and preop clearance. Now I need to send to my surgeon and they will submit to ins I'm already doing liquid and protein diet. I'm nervous and from the looks of it it's normal. -

I am on day five of my preop liquid diet I just ate a piece of bread. Shnikes I feel so guilty my belly was hurting me from the ugi I had done today. -

I have been on my liquid diet since Saturday and I drink two a day and then eat lean meat protein and green veggies. I weighed myself and I gained weight. Ugh it's so frustrating. -

Thanks for the words of encouragement. It's been so nice when I post something that's maybe bothering me everyone is so overwhelmingly supportive. Thank you. I know his I'd a journey and it didn't happen overnight so I have to be ok with the fact it won't be done overnight. Oh btw I have my preop X-rays this Thursday and then I can see my dr to clear me and then they can push for my auth. So excited.
