I was banded by Dr Aceves in Mexico and would like to find a Dr in my area for my fills. The last time I went I had to be unfill but Dr Campo is good but the time and money to go to Mexico is getting to much

Hi all I just wanted to say today is my band anniversary. one years today I had my surgery. I am still happy with my bnad but I know the truth I have not been true to my band. I have Cheated. today I am making a new comitment to my band and myself. to follow the band rules and start again thank for reading this I love my band Little Shirl

Hi, How is everyone today I had a great time at the Mall and didn't want to leave. I tryed on all kinds of clothes at different places. I used to hate clothes shopping because (you know why) small selections and more money. The clothes look like grandma's old things not updated or modern. Well today I did it that one size that makes a different is where I am and the mall was a hunting grounds for me today. I thought about this new thread I want before Christmas to hit 50 pounds gone so I need 3 more pounds that is what I want for Christmas. Not a boyfriend (have a husband already) or my two front teeth but 3 more pounds gone. that would make this year one of the best for me. Wanda I read your thread and know what you mean. This Christmas is different. Some of our old habits we have to break. Christmas has always been hard for me. I am glad this thread si here. We need to enccrouage each other. I had a hard time deciding to be band but I had surgery on Monday and the next Sunday I was in Church and praising our savior with more engery than I had in years. I can worship my Lord with all my heart soul and body, and I stop holding on to the seat in front of me to balance. Thank you Jesus

Hi Blessed, I feel that way too. I loved being band and I feel God knew what he was doing when he put us together it is just our mismanaging that got us here. I have been band for 5 months and have lost 43 pounds. I feel a whole lot healthier and I'm not sleeping my life away any more. Welcome, You should try the chat I love to chat with the other here. I am in the central valley California too and the only support group I found meets on Tuesday night in Turlock. HI Heather, I am sorry about your lost, I was self pay and went to Mexico. Dr Aveces sent me e-mails to watch with alot of information videos You might start there for the information. It is like anything else it is a tool, you are the one who makes it works. I have been band for 5 months and have lost 38 pounds. Good luck and I will be looking forward to see your posts,

LInda51 Keep trying to work with it and we are all behind you, or with you for that matters. I feel that a pound lost is better that gain and I am happy to be where I am than where I been. I am 4 months band and is happy to be on this journey. I am also self-paid. so I know the cost was great and I don't want to waste the money or the opportunity to lose weight. I don't think it is that good to lose the weight so fast. I didn't gain it in one day, week, month, or year. I put this weight on in 15 years. With the band I will lose it faster than I can be myself, but if I realized that the 7 pounds a year would be one day a hundred pounds over weight I would have done something then before it got out of hand. I am the type of person (or was) that put other people and things before myself, I didn't take time to do the things I should of done for myself. That is part of the New Life stye I must learn. That I take care of myself first. By the way I have lost 33 pounds and no fills yet. I was band May 6. but as long as I am losing 1 pound a week or two I will keep on going. Good luck to everyone!!! Hi, I have work for the government and they have to post all opening. and they can just hire the temp who is working the job. One lady has worked going on there years through the temp company but can't past the test with the city, so they don't hire anyone and she keeps working. There is others who past the test, and don't get hired. So it might be procedures. I think you should try for it, and I hope you good luck. Little Shirl

Hi there, Dr Aceves was great. He is in Mexicali Mexico. He did my lapband in May 2007. I stay two nights in a hospital that looked like a hotel and is very clean. He talks to you before the surgery and after he and his assistant visit you twice a day. plus the paient coranator, Nurses, And now I call or e-mail someone anytime I have a question. I had a good recovery and I have lost 32 pounds no fills yet. If you have any questions about him just ask or look him up on the google bye for now Little Shirl

I had a great experince in Mexicali Mexico, Dr Aceves checked on me and three others (who was banded the same day) twice a day after the surgrey, everyone spoked English, and the hospital was very clean. You should check him out. I will be going back for my fills. Before the surgery they e-mail me viedos to watch. and I could e-mail questions before and after and they answer me. Hi SD Chick, I can't clean out the kitchen because my husband weights 135 to 140 and eats sweets all the time. He never gains weight. I gain all my weight beening married to him. I now know I have to take care of me. and he will take care of himself Little Shirl

I have no problems eat anything and is tempered to eat the wrong things or snack during the day. So I am trying to stay out of the kitchen. Little Shirl
