That is wonderful to hear of other couples going together. We are wanting ours that close too. Good luck and I hope that you too can enjoy cold liquids again.

That is fantastic! You are such a beautiful girl, too! So happy for you! -
Thank you for the reply! I will remember to do this!

I also have PCOS and very irregular periods including spotting on random days between periods as well. We started the requirements for the surgery in the beginning of June and have changed our diet and started exercising, and since then, I have actually had 2 back to back "regular" cycles-without even having random spotting between them! The first couple of days are incredibly heavy and full of clots, but then that subsides, and things seem, dare I say, normal. So I am hoping that my cycles are starting to regulate out now, even before my surgery.

I have never used depo, but I have heard that it does. In fact, I have heard of women only getting periods like 3 times a year tops with depo.

I am a large gal, and I think I will probably have some loose skin issues. I was wondering what you guys do to help combat these issues. Do you wear compression clothes? Or ladies, do you wear spanx? If you have loose skin, when did you start noticing it? Like when you reached goal, or after losing a large amount of weight in general? Just trying to think ahead and plan!

Thank you so much, and I couldn't agree more! We have a great and incredible marriage as it is, but like you said, I think this will only bring us even closer together. Thank you for the encouraging words!

Got A Surgery Date
Jordan Bee replied to cookier224's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When you say you had to wait a long time-do you mean for approval? Or for the requirements? I am hoping to submit to insurance this week and get approval so I am curious what you meant. haha. I am so excited/nervous/anxious/so-full-of-emotions-I-don't-know-what-to-think-anymore. lol -

It depends what kind of BCBS you have. I have BCBS federal and they only had a 3 month requirement. The also required records from the past 2 years stating my weight and weight related issues such as infertility and sleep apnea. They also required a psych eval and nutritionist counseling. Everything is done and just awaiting the recommendation letter from the PCP and then we submit. Hopefully this week!! -

Ya, I was quite accustomed to my "fast food"lifestyle, but it's just not worth it! I have given up so much already, clothing, enjoying activities, being outside, and most importantly, my health, because I would rather eat cookies and ice cream and have someone else cook my meals instead of myself. But it's time to get off my butt and do it myself and take the control back. I love my husband with every ounce in my body, (love you, huni!) but if he hadn't have supported my decision, and it was something that I was wanting and ready to do, I still would have had to do it, for me. But because he is so wonderful and wants the same things, it makes things so much easier.

Pcos And Gastric Bypass
Jordan Bee replied to starrnhuff's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Will do! I have struggled with the depression aspect it, too, with being overweight and wanting to be a mother so bad, while everyone around me is having children (even the ones that probably shouldn't be) and all they can say is "when are you going to have kids"? Well, dearies, it's not a matter of when, but "if". And it's frustrating.
