    6 Days To Go

On June 1,2010 I had the Gastric Sleeve done down 60 lbs and then BAM!!!!! Galbladder had to be removed and had infection issues, then had a knee injury that after months of medical care still required sugery. After enduring all of that I had to deal with the fact that my window to lose more weight was closed. Despite my efforts my yo yo weight loss and gain started all over again. Down 10lbs up 10lbs. Feeling like a TOTAL failure I finally agreed to the Gactric Bypass. Surgery is 6 days away and I keep going from completly calm to a nervous wreack. I'm going to document every step of this journey. Didn't do it for the first one and it is hard for me to see any weight loss that I had. This time around I'm going to be kinder to myself and see my journey step by step. I wish everyone who is on this path the best of luck and a speedy recovery.

Glad I'm not the only one with the scale problem. I only lost one pound last week and I'm not eatin anything at all. I am barley getting in my fluids. I wanted to cry in fact I did cry. was pissed @ my Dr. for making a big deal out of the 1 lbs loss. Now I am even more PISSED now that I now I'm not the only one it's happening to. Can't wait to see him next week. Imma chew him up n spit him out. I won't stay mad tho. He is a good Dr and I love his staff. They comforted my better than my boyfriend when I found out I found out I only lost a pound.

So glad it's not just me. Came on 5 days early and this bleeding is horrible. I have to use tampons and pads. And still changing everything every 2 hours cause they r soaked. The cramps combined with this abdominal burning has me in bed all damn day. I am getting some relief with the binder but holy crap Batman. I'm miserable right now. Pretty sure the heavy bleeding has a lot to do with the blood thinning shots

    Bypass Vs Sleeve

I had the sleeve in 2010. I just converted to the bypass on 9/17/12. I lost weighrwith the sleeve 80 lbs. If i had a choice i would have not chosen the sleeve. The man part of the weight loss ks to lose as much as u can as fast as u can. I had suffered two set backs my galbladder and my knee. After solving those problems my weight loss door was closed. The sleeve has worked the best with people who are under 250lbs from what I have seen in the support groups I was 365lbs. But they do struggle more with regaining of weight because of grazing. Having had them both I recommend the bypass feel like the sleeve was a waste of my time. But was a great learning experience

So far today has been horrible. Got stuck in traffic (a gigantic motorcycle parade came from out of nowhere saw at least 500 + motorcycles!!!!) so what was a 10 minute ride home turned into a hour and n half of me sitting in a car crying trying to find a way to lay or sit to ease my pain. This burning/pain sensation is HELL. It's unlike anything I've ever felt. Gonna spend the rest of my Sunday in bed. :-(
