My gastric surgeon submitted photographic proof at my 18 month mark. I have 3 pannier aprons of skin around my middle, which causes an increase of rashes & infections. Tricare is very by the book. my superpower is...... -

Ok ladies. I need your help. My skin itches. ALL OVER! And I can't seem to stop scratching! I scratched so hard the other night that the skin on my boobs is bruised and now super dry! Tonight I am finding it's my tummy along my incision! Any thoughts before I shred my skin right off? my superpower is......

Tricare South Cosmetic
Jerrie Ann replied to sapperwife26's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Yes. But only the abdominal area. You must be 18 months post op, maintain goal weight within a 5 pound variance, and the loose skin must be photographed and documented by your surgeon. I have Tricare South, and am going through this process now. my superpower is...... -
Not on pain meds at all.as I'm 19 months post op. Other than my Vitamins, Calcium & Iron, I take Nexium. I drink tons and tons if Water. Pre op, I had excema but that seemed to go away after I had lost about 60 pounds. I'm down to a weight loss of 160 pounds now. I tried the oatmeal trick. Doesn't work. Made my skin just crawl and I was itchier than before. I'm at my wit's end! my superpower is......

My mother has sleep apnea. It was partially found because she has A-Fib. She sleeps with a cpap. That machine & mask, while uncomfortable, really does help her. I'm grateful she uses it. my superpower is......

I have Tricare. I waited 2 months for my RNY instead of longer because I had my PCM fax my entire med records to my surgeon (2 1/2 hours from my home), who then faxed them on to Tricare. Now I'm waiting for approval for my skin removal surgery. Should be approved by May..... my superpower is......

Has anyone tried the Body by Vi shakes? I have a friend who sells it, and sent me a sample. While it only has 12g of Protein, I added some of my chocolate protein (nectar essence) and powdered Peanut Butter and it tasted exactly like a peanut butter cup! I was wondering if anyone here uses these regularly?? my superpower is......

As soon as I could eat something, past my soft food stage, I was all about a small cup of Wendy's chilli! Chilli is still my go-to food because it's the one thing I never ever dump! my superpower is......

My surgeon told me if I get backed up or constipated to take a stool softener. Seems to loosen things up & move it along! my superpower is......

Just want to bang my head against the wall...

I'm right there with ya! My hubby's best friend's girlfriend had a RNY several years ago, and has managed to go back to her old habits! She eats huge portions of any and every thing, drinks, drinks beverages loaded with caffeine, smokes, and takes pleasure in lecturing me on what I should or should not eat or do! She is now much heavier than she once was, and is back on meds for high blood pressure and diabetes! Makes me pity her.... my superpower is...... -
