Stay relaxed, do not worry you will do awesome. stay with the program before and after, nothing taste as good as being thin feels. I am a size 10 now down from a 18/20 and it felels good. I think if I get to a size 8 I will be happy, but I have to say a 10 is not bad after years and years of being an 18/20. I will keep you in my prayers and hope to hear more from you later. -
My nutritionist said this yogurt was fine to have now that I am 3 months out. I have tried the vanilla, strawberry and blueberry and they are all yummy. Maybe those who can not have the fruit can try the vanilla one. Right now if you have a Safeway by you you can get them for $2.99 for a four pack which is a great price.

Waiting To Go Into Surgery!
HappyGirl replied to Stardusted's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hope all went well. Let us know how it went. -
Well she just said I need to try, she did say protein drinks. She also said I can start eating more carbs but eat my protein first. She said try a half of slice of toast with my egg in the morning, of my gosh it just sat in my stomach like a lump, so I guess bread is not for me right now. Have any of you had problems with bread, or have you tried it yet, she said whole wheat and the one I bought had 6 grams of protein.

So I went to added my nutritionist yesterday and I have lost 44lbs since surgery and 74lbs all together, I am 3 months PO. So we were going over what I eat in a day and she said that I am not eating enough, I told her I can't I feel full after just eating a little and it is hard to eat, she said I should be eating between 1/4-1/2 cups and be eating almost 50 grams of Protein and between 800-1000 calories. How many out there are having trouble getting all their Proteins and calories in. Surgery date June 15, 2012

1St Post Op Appt.
HappyGirl replied to 2ndTimesTheCharm's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congratulations, keep up the good work. -
I love them, I eat one at a time and yes about after 10-20 of them I am feeling full. They are dry but I think eating one at a time helps me.

It was the hardest things giving up foods you can not have again, or at least the amount I use to eat them in. I am 3 months out and just saw the nutritionist and she said I can start eating small portions of carbs, bread, vegetables and fruit. I am a little excited but scared because I do not want to gain the weight back.

You look wonderful, keep up the great work. -
I am with bbdoodle, I am 3 months out today. I find in the mornings I am really thirsty when I wake up and find myself taking bigg gulps of water but I regret it because my stomach starts to hurt so now I take small sips but occasionally forget. Just be careful and take sips.

Congratulations that is so exciting!

So Proud Of Myself :)
HappyGirl replied to RoundedRed's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am 6 days shy of my 3 month post op and going out to eat for me is easy and cheap. I have found that when I go out for breakfast I always order 1 scrambled egg and cottage cheese and it is always under $4.00, I love it. I have not gone out much for lunch or dinner but I have gone to a sushi place with my friend and ordered the Miso soup which is the broth of the endamande bean, green onions and tofu, delicious. I also order a side of endamande beans which I do not finish so I take home what is left over, cost about $5.00. -
Congratulations on the surgery date. It is normal to be nervous, you will do great, just keep the faith. I have to say I was not real nervous at all I really needed the surgery and knew in my heart that out was going to go well. Keep us updated on how the surgery went and yes you will not feel like eating for a long while.

I am so sorry this happened to you, I will pray that you heal quickly. I understand there can be complications but have never heard of someone having to have a feeding tube, is it permanent or just temporary? Please keep us updated I will add you as a friend, keep faith that it will get better.
