    Feel Guilty...

Funny, but I understand! I just had to have a chocolate chip and dab of dough when making Cookies for the kids today. We have to remember that just having a taste now is way better than we did before. Don't beat yourself up! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

Without a supervised diet, (lucky you) I would guess 3 months or so til surgery. Most clinics require nutritionist visits and a psych eval with approval from both. Then submit to Ins for approval. When you get it youll meet with surgeon and schdule a date. You'll need a physical with your reg doc, usually with in the 30days before surgery. So don't schedule it til you have your date. I needed a chest X-ray, EKG, and lab work in that 30 days too. I had to quit smoking and pass a urine test to prove it. Some people have to lose 10% of excess wt before surgery. Some have a liquid diet ranging from 1 day to two weeks. Whatever one they have you do, it's to shrink the fat off your liver before surgery. Good luck! Welcome to the journey of your life! I am six weeks post op and have lost 55 lbs so far, 24lbs since surgery July 30th. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    Feeling Blah Today

That's awesome wt loss!!! Good job ! Sounds like dehydration. Sip sip sip and hopefully feel better soon. I can taste it in my mouth when I haven't had enough to drink. I just get this bad taste. It's from the ketosis that we're in during honeymoon period. I drink sobe life Water and that's been a life saver for me to get all my water in. Hope this helps! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    Does This Seem Right?

This whole thing is so hard. Not cheating is hard. Planning and measuring meals is hard. Taking all these Vitamins is hard. I can say I've had my share of cheats. I had A chip one day. I had A m&m one day. I had A chocolate covered peanut one day. I feel bad when I do it and its usually just cause it was there and looked good and was a mindless choice. But you know what, it's better than any of the mindless choices I made before surgery. I haven't gone over my sugar or fat but I'm thinking I don't dump. Nothing makes me suck or nauseous. I get 5-750calories & 50-70g Protein a day at 6 weeks post op. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    Very Little Restriction

I constantly worry I'm eating too much. I measure and weigh everything, but still feel like its too much. 2 oz at Breakfast and lunch. 3 oz at dinner and 1 or 2 Snacks. Snacks are usually a boiled egg, watermelon chunks, 3 tbsp nuts. I am 6 weeks post op Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  15. Yay!! It feels so good to have a date and know when your new life will start. I am six weeks post op and this is the best thing I've ever done for myself. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

Yes ! Head hunger is what it is. When you stop and really think, am I hungry?? I always say no, just bored or wanting to eat out of habit. I FEEL satisfies 99% of the time. I'm just fighting the hand to mouth habit with Water. I'm addicted to SOBE life water. I drink 2-3 a day and I love all the favors. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    Anyone Else Have No Problems?

I am almost 6 weeks post op and have had no problems. I ate some scrambled eggs once and felt too full for almost an hour. I do find myself thinking about when the ball will drop, but then remind myself, if I stick to the plan it shouldn't! =) Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
