Hello, My appointment was also just going over the process in detail. My doctor showed me the lap band system and an artifical stomach which he put the lapband around to show me how it will look. He asked if I had any questions and took his time answering everythng. His staff did the preliminary paperwork with me prior to my appointment, and gave me tons of reading material. I have my surgery on August 7th and cannot wait!! QueenB

Hi sweet, I am also getting banded by Dr. Cobourn on August 7th!! I am in at 8AM...what time are you in at? Maybe we will cross stretchers at some point! LOL:)

Hi Kero, I am being banded at The Sugrical weight Loss Clinic on August 7th by Dr. Cobourn. Over there, they put everyone on the Optifast Diet for 2 or more weeks according to how much you must lose. We are not allowed anything else but the opti, black coffee or tea, and two cups of low glycemic veggies per day. I have to stay on the diet for 3 weeks prior to my surgery. I know this does not help with your situation...but just another Canadian response for you. queen bee:hungry:
