Howdy, my October buddies! So, I was sitting here, thinking to myself--- wow, life has certainly changed (for the better) since that fateful day in October. Not only have I regained my confidence (which has had numerous effects on my family and career success) but I need a whole new wardrobe (which I am trying to wait until 1 year to go out and get). And I wondered-- how have your lives changed (or not) as a result of the big decision you made about 8 months ago? Can't wait to hear from you. -

Doing well! Weight loss has definitely slowed, but that is all my fault for reintroducing certain things I shouldn't. Down 93 pounds, 6 pounds away from making the higher part of my ideal weight range. Would like to lose 20 though, just to make sure I am still in this range if I gain a few later after pregnancy. How have you been doing? -

YES YES YES! It was so weird. I stalled and only lost 8 lbs. I was lingering right above 200 for almost two weeks. It was nail-biting, because I am working out and wasn't taking in more calories than allowed. Suddenly, out of nowhere, I began to drop and have lost 6 lbs in two weeks. So, I guess I'm back on track! Hang in there! -

Sounds like your sugar may be a little low at night (it drops for some people---including myself!). Down the water and allow yourself a fruit snack. While you may "crave" the not-good-stuff, I'll bet the fruit snack will pick your sugar up a bit and satisfy your cravings. ie little cup of peaches, mandarins, or pears (packed in own fruit juice) topped with cottage cheese and honey (if desired) -

There's a multitude of things I can't seem to keep down: Shrimp, chicken breast or other dry meats, rice, bread, fried foods, and high amounts of sugar. But I'm not too worried about it. Just trying to make ol' "pouchy" over here happy. Ha ha! -

From the album: Before Oct 16 2012
I had gotten so big, and I didn't even notice. I didn't want to see photos of myself. I didn't want any full length mirrors of myself. In fact, 3 months after the surgery, this is the first time I have even seen these photos. -

Don't feel behind, sweets! I remember when I first had the surgery and I was losing a pound a day and everyone was posting that they were averaging 2 to 3 lbs per day. I wondered what was going on. Then, I stopped comparing myself and just started working on myself. Suddenly, I realized it didn't matter how much everyone else lost, but whether or not I was happy with my own weight loss. Remember, we are barely 3 months in! I know it feels like sooooooo much longer, but we still have another 3 months of our "honeymoon" period, where we can lose the greatest amount of weight! Yay us! So, just focus on taking care of you, and everything will fall into place. -

Stalling here too, RhondaWilliams, after only 38 lbs... Maybe the exercise I started is slowing down muscle loss? Hope so. -

Has anyone seen my boobs? I seem to have misplaced them because they are surely not on my chest anymore... Oh, but no worries: my thighs and butt are still right where I left them. -

Believe me, I won't judge AT ALL, since I have slipped up about 5 times. Sweets are not my vice, but good food is! Sneaking a bite or two has lead me to feel guilty, and sometimes it has taught me a lesson when I felt the chest pain hit (from not chewing the food well enough). As everyone else has said, just move on and don't do it anymore if you can help it. But yes, also as someone else has said, almost everyone slips up. You are not alone.
