no i dont have peehip but i do have bc/bs ocal goverment heath insurance plan. yes you need to call naomi and ask her. but she want be back in until tuesday. i didnt know to the last min. and she told me. you might not have to have it with peehip. not sure on out of pocket yet. bt i do know a girl that had it done and she had to pay like 900 bucks out of pocket with bc/bs.

aprilapple, i just got my approvel letter today:thumbup: in the mail and i also used photos like you. i gave them about 5 years worth of them. and about 2 per year. i wanted to make sure they had alot of them. so yes it works fine. and it took about 2 weeks from when she sent it in to get the petter back. and a few other things to tell you. go ahead and get your sleep aplna (sp) done. and you got to do a 1 on 1 class with the nutritionist also. before they send it in. dont wait to the last min. to get everything done.

yes it has finally got here. i got my letter today saying i can have the surgery. im so happy. i guess i will call dr.miles in the morning and see whats next. this is a great day for me. now i know how everyone else felt when they got there letter. funny thing, at first i wa whats this. it didnt come from bc/bs. it came from shps/ care wise. bc/bs gets them to approve the surgery. so i called and made sure that it was waht i was waiting on. and when the lady told me it was. i screamed yes and she was laughing. lol

ok i emailed veronica and she said it is the 21st and at 10:30 in the same place as the last one. the one in the fittness room is going to be for the gastric bypass people.

i was told it was going to be on the 21st of june. but if your going to call please let me know if i was told correct. i was also told its going to be in the fittness room this time in building 46. but i can call to double check if you would like me to.

went monday to the one on one nutrition class. it was very helpful. so now im just waiting on them to send the paper work in. so im hoping to hear something by the end of the month. keeping fingers cross. glad to see everyone is doing great. jason r

well i finally got a apointment for the one on one nutrition class. then they can seen the paper work in. my apointment is june the 9th at st.vincents east. so maybe by the end of june i will hear something from bc/bs.

thanks savebygrace. i called today to get the ball going. they are going to call me back. but i thing i will call them later today. i just wish neoami would have told me earlier. but i can handle it. not going to give up.

thats good to see. my starting weight was 409 and i have lost down to 389 now. but im still waiting on the band. so im hoping to lose alot of weight like you when i get it. i try to go to the gym 3-4 times a week. i would like to get to 225-250. i will be happy there. keep up the good work and keep us updated.

im not banded yet but in the process of gettting it done. so i would be up for something maybe.

:sad_smile:well i got to talk to neoami today to check on my paper work. she told me that bc/bs with intracorp has changed what you have to get done now. she said that i have to do a one on one nutrition class. and still do one before the surgery. so i got to go and do this one on one class before she can send the paper work in. i asked why she didnt emailed or called me about this yet. she replyed that she hasent had time. i was like wth. i been waiting so long. but im not giving up im going to get this done and pray. she also told me after she sends the paper work in it will be up to one month to get an answer. whats next.:confused2:

hello everyone, first congratz to everyone that has got the band. im hoping to hear anytime about mine. just waiting on the bc/bs to send me the letter. im using dr.miles. this has been one long road. it has been 10 months since i seen dr.miles for the first time. and now im just waiting. maybe i will get some good news soon.

looks like your off to a great start.:cursing: and you can really tell it in your face. on a side note. how did you like dr.miles? im going to him and hoping to get my bc/bs papers any day now.

is there a limit on how much you can pick up. i work for a water works company, and i do about everything there. i was planning on taking a week off.

good to see you are feeling better pizzaman. im hoping i will be there soon. this last 2-3 months is so lonng it seems.

thanks john for the info on the lemon and lime powder. i will put that opne in my book for when i get my band done.

the way i do it is. i take down what i eat everyday. and when i work out and for how long. then i give that to the doctor every month. then he ask me how im doing and hat im doing to lose wait. and he fills out a blue paper forum and keeps one for every month. hope that helps too.

ok, this is what i was told by my doctor. i need to have a 6 month watched diet by my family doctor. which means 7 visits. like this- start first visit here---> july-sept=1,sept-oct=2,oct-nov=3,nov-dec=4,dec-jan=5,jan-feb=6. now i hope the doctor was right about this too. but as you can see you go seven times (7 visits) to your family doctor or who ever is doing your diet program. but i actually got to go tomarch because my family doctor had a medical em. to deal with on my 5ht visit day. so it got moved 6 days. so that makes me going to the first of march. and he made sure it wasnt going to mess me up any. and i pray to god it dosent.

thanks for the heads up on it. i cant wait to get this done. im being working really hard on this and just would hate to fight the ins. company to get it done.

its getting closer for me too. i got 2 more visits for the 7 month thing. and i got to still do my sleep study and my psych eval. im just worried about getting turned down. but my family doctor has done this before and sayed i have nothing to worry about.
