i didnt have to stand up this time and talk. i dont like to do that myself. but i did meet some nice people today. got to meet wendy. its nice putting a face with a name. the next one is oct the 18th. i be going to that one also. so when it gets closer just let me know if you can make it. maybe kim will be off to.

venzwife, i was sitting to the right of your husband. wish i knew it was you i would have said hi. i had a the alabama football hat. alabamagirl, i remember you standing up and asking that question, but at the time i didnt know that was you. sorry. wendy, it was very nice meeting you today. and i hope cindy does come over to the darkside with us. hahahaha and next time im going to tell all the banders in the meeting about are group here. i just got back from the gym and im tired so i think im going to bed. i walked for about an hour and then done the bike for about 30 mins. that was it for me today. i got to start working out more. my next goal is to lose 75 pounds by xmas. i know its going to be hard but im going to try and do it. so 51 more pounds here i come.

yes april im proud. it took me along time to get to this point. just losing what i have already makes me feel so much better. i cant wait to drop off the 100 pounds and then some. she you in the morning!:thumbup:

hi venzwife, and welcome to are little group here. i will help in anyway i can. i used dr milesto do my band. i think i had to pay 156 our 159 for the first visit with him, but i didnt get it back from bc/bs. then i done my 7 month visit with my family doctor. which was under dr miles before he came to southside al. so he new the process well. he got me to say i had a cold our something like that for my visits with him. that way bc/bs paid for them. then i had to do a one on one with the nutrition with ashley. i had to do sleep study which you will have to do. i would say to do it first during the 7 months it takes to do the diet. i did pictures for the bc/bs to show proof of my weight for a long term. i gave them 10 years of them. one per year. on the test you asked about you do them after you get approved and set a date for sugery. you get them done when you do your pre op visit. and dont sweat the small stuff its not hard to do. it took me over a year to get things in order to have it done. but i stayed in there and now im banded. so dont let anyone our anything get you down. thats we are here, to talk to and get help. i will be at the support group meeting saturday if you would like to ask anything. on a side not to everyone i got my letter from bc/bs from the surgery. its the hosptial part. it cost 28xxx and they took 75xx for it. thats with my 100 co-pay. i dont want to see the one from dr miles office.

thanks! thats a old pic of her. i also have a 5 year old boy. im doing fine. starting to feel a little hungry at times. but i keep water with me at al times that seems to help. im not going to weight this week until saturday at the support group.

congratz crazgirl! i happy for you. just make sure you keep the food written down. thats for when you go back to she ashely in 6 weeks. shes going to look at it and let you know if you need something more our less. they should have gave you a book to write it in. and dont worry mine has Water,broth, and Protein shakes in it for about 14 days. and mushies is great after all that liquid. i have lost another pound and half since i got on mushies so it does slow down. i guess im getting more cals. but im walking for 30 mins. and ride the bike for 30.

the people that has been banded meets for about 30 mins. and then go to the classroom and talk to other people looking into getting the band. and that last about 1 hour.

i was wonder what everyone had when they went on there full liquid diet. saturday is when i can start that stage, and i cant wait. not sure what im going to have first but it sure isn't going to be broth.:smile2: hahahahaha

on the realize band, the scare where the port go's is not that big. mines under a half inch. and the port is more then just small/thin. it is wder like you said rockbandster, but it is made out of metal where the lap is not (i believe) at least the one i seen wasnt. and they can x-ray the realize port to look at it where they cant the lap band port. and when i was showed both bands the realize band is a little shorter the the lap band. and i almost didnt get the realize band for that. im a big guy i weighted over 400 pounds before surgery. and my doctor which has done over 450 bandings himself and was the first one in alabama to do it is very inform about both bands. i have alos lost 25 pounds since my surgery on the 26th of aug. now i do say search search your but off before you decide which one you want. and talk to your doctor and other docotrs about it.

i have a realize band. and the restriction is not like that for everyone. i have some now with no fill. i get my first fill oct the 8th. and i have lost 25 pounds since being banded on the 26th of aug. jason r

i was banded aug. 26th 1008 and i have lost 25 pounds since then. like above it took 32 years to put it on, and i dont thnong i can take it of very fast and dont want to. 2-3 pounds a week is fine with me. jason r

im going ride go carts with my son swim with out my shirt on and go on a cruise and enjoy it.

it was so nice going to mushies. i had me some nice cream potatos. and im going to the market to get some fish fillets to bake some. it was funny seeing i can have soft fish in my mushies.

april, walk walk walk as much as you can. thats what helped me out. and congrats and welcome to the band world. on a side not. i start to have a sharp pain every now and then today. its below my big incicion and to the left some. when you feel it it semms to be like a 2 inch long and round. dosent feel like a port to me. so i was wondering if anyone else had this at one time. its not like it hurts all the time just every now and then. i guess i might call the doc and ask them.
