    well it was a great meeting agian. and thanks tiena for saying i helped you out. i do try. everyone look great and i could see alot of drop in weight with everyone there. got to meet a few new people and see some i havent seen in along time. i told about 10 people about the forum here so maybe we will have some new people soon. on a side note i had a good nsv today. me and my wife went to kaninag and her husbands house and went out to eat. well they sat us in a vrey small booth and i was wait i dont think i can fit in it. but guess what i did. i didnt have to suck it in to sit down and i was very comfortable too. so i was like wow.

    bandofhope, thats the way to be. im happy you feel that way. and yes it will change your life so much. for me i have been overweight most of my life. so i dont know anything else. so its all new to me. im still a big overweight guy but im opn my way to the lower weight of living. lol perfectionist, just take one day at a time and you be banded before you know it. i will be at the meeting tomorrow so if you want to ask me anything feel free to. and good luck to you. and dont beafraid to ask anything at the meeting. i have heard it all from a 60 year old woman asking about the sex life after surgery to the one i hear almost evertime, can i still drink beer afterwards. lol

    im glad everything went so well. im sure you will do great! just listen to the dr's and the people thats been where you are now and you will be fine. and dont worry i even took some of my pain meds. so please take as needed. keep us postedf and im lookng forward to seeing you at the banded support group meetings. that is great. thats a very bif nsv! im happy for you. i cant wait until the comes when im just over weight.

    hey a pound is a pound. so dont worry its all good. i just got back from the gym and i had a good work out. and now im hungry. i have had anything all day. i think im might fix a piece of grille chicken. me and kim is watching the biggest loser and when mikey walked in and his brother seen him he started to cry. well i did to. i know how it feels to be on his brother side. i want to try and help out everyone i see thats over weight. i feel so bad for the people that i once was. i still havent talked to kim about what i told you sometime back but i have talk to someone and i do feel better. its just going to be a work in progress i guess. so if you are at the meeting saturday dont talk about it please.
  7. well it looks like im not going to hit my goal. i have been so busy latey i havent had time to even post. start 335 lbs now 330 lbs end 310 lbs goal 25 lbs 5 lbs lost 20 to go.

    new tattoo idea what u think?

    i like it. im going to get another tat when i get to my goal weight. something to remind me of the days gone by way i was overweight. i have to tats now. one is a sun with big j in it and the other is a 4 leaf clover on my right wrist (bottom side). and i like them both. someday i would like to get a full leg sleeve done.

    im glad to see you are doing good. 33 pounds is good. just keep up the work and it will keep coming of. and remember everyone loses weight different. you should be hitting your sweet spot very soon im sure. keep us posted oh yea, i like the godfather name.lol i will have to had that to one of my shirts.

    +1 i have the realize band btu chose which one you want and what the dr tells you is best for you. i have done well i believe wityh my band so far. and i have freinds with the ap band and they also has done well. so i would tallk to your more about it and you two decide which one is best for you.
  13. Matrix 5.0 chocolate i like this most of all. and i also do the Protein shooters from walmart. i try to make sure the ones i drink are under 5 grams of fat per serving.

    dont feel that way. not everyone lose weight the same. where i lost 21 pound my first ten days, but i got freins that just lost 4-10 pounds in the sametime. so you are doing great. we didnt get over weight over night so its going to go away over night. are you drinking alot of Water if not try that. just sip on it all day long. you can also try eat sugar free popcicles and sugar free Jello. keep us posted
  15. congrtas! its great to see another person changing there live around. i hope everything works out great for you both! and on the cotton mouth it will go away in time. most of the time its because you are not getting enough to drink. so dont worry the next few weeks is just drinking.lol
  16. i had that up until about 1 month out. asked the dr about it and he also told me it was just gas left over. it went away after time and everything was fine. i used gas x strips and walked alot to help it out. just to make sure i would call the dr's office and let them know what is going on. thats what they are there for.

    come on everyone. if you are worried about what drink to have then theres something really wrong. thiat is why alot of the " the band didnt work for me" comes up. you dont have to drink it is a choice. i can see maybe a drink every now and then like new years our july 4th. but none of us really need it. i wouldnt be saying this unless i went threw the samething. i was a bad drinker and i was always drinking. but i realise that me losing weight and getting in better shape is more important. and if the people around me, judge me because i dont drink anymore then screw them. because i know what is best for me. so i wish that everyone that is still drinking ourthinking about it would stop. i hate seeing people going back down the wrong road. thats my .02 cents anyways. jason r

    congrats! i also used the gas x strips some. but walking done me wonders. i mean i got up the next day and walked around walmart for an hour. so try to get some walking in it will help with the gas alot. and also dont be afraid to take your pain meds. jst take it one day at a time and before you know it you will be running!

    if you got a GNC close to you. go to it and look at the smoothies that are just as good as the slim fast. but less sugar then the high protein ones. and also i buy the protein shooters from walmart there are fruit punch taste and have 26 grams of protein in them. they are great. might be the same as the bullets you have, not sure. on the liquid diet all dr's. are different. thats just the way i was told. what band do you have?

    ok this is what i was told. day 1-4 Clear liquids day 5-14 full liquids day 15-24 mushie food day 25 i could start reg food. i wouldnt do pudding yet if it was me. stick with Soup with no solids in it. and fat free milk,etc... i would start the pudding around day 14. oh and those slim fast isnt good either. too much sugar in them. best think to go by is no more then 5grams fat per serving and no more then 15 grams of carbs per serving also. and walk all you can to get the gas gone.

    i will be there if nothing happens between now and then. oh and my wife kim should be coming this time to. nulyfe dont make me get on you :crying:. get off your butt and start working out! and i have been where you are now. didnt feel like going,dint have the time. but guess what when i seen i didnt lose much our any that few weeks i was right back there working out. it is easy not to workout. thats why im fat now. and if i want this band to help me well i have to help it. if theres anything we our i can do to help just let us know. to bad all of us live so far apart. we could have a workout program and all of us could go to it. i like working out with other people. it keeps me going that extra little step.

    first off congrats on the weight loss. and now the second thing is and here it comes, are you doing at least 3 days of exerscing a week? are you getting your 60-64 in everyday? and please stop eating those breads. they are high in carbs. when you go and get a burger dont eat the bread just the meat and vegs. you might need another fill. somepeople hit there sweet spot at different cc levels. oh and are you coming to the support group meetings. i dont think i have taked to you there yet if so. make sure you follow this few things: 1. get your 60-64 in everyday 2. exercise 3. exercise 4. exercise 5. eat right when i get home i can look up some dos and donts if you would like me to. 6. go to the support group meetings as much as you can. please do this, everyone needs this help. 7. dont be affraid to call the dr. when you have a question about the band. 8. dont go over 5grams of fat and 15 grams of carbs per serving( which you are doing if you buy burgers from a fast food place) i know its hard to do and i dont do it all the time but try to get close to it as you can. im not trying to be hard on you, but you ask and i will tell. and please dont be affraid to ask about anything on here. thats why we are here . we all need help time to time. :thumbup:
