When I saw my doctor last time he said I didn't need a fill. However, since then, 2 months, I've hardly lost a pound. I am at 3.8 on a 4 band and he said he could overfill it if needed. Does anyone know what that means or have details about it?

Hang in there. Sounds like a small plateau. If you're doing everything right (and it sounds like you are) it will start coming off again! Congrats on what you've lost so far!!

I've just started losing mine - pretty badly. I'm 6.5 mos out from surgery and down about 45 lbs. I think it's actually breaking off - not really sure. My thyroid was low and they had to increase my medication. I'm hoping this will stop it. I'm also going to make sure I get the protein in. I don't think I'm getting 50 to 60 in so I'll go to shakes. I hope it comes back soon. I have very fine hair anyway.

I joined WW again last Tuesday. I'm hoping it will help me control what I'm eating, because I'm eating the right things lately. My doctor doesn't have a band group either, but it wouldn't do any good for me if he did because he's 70 miles away.

I too have done WW throughout the years - also without a lot of success. However, when you stick to it it really works. Hopefully the band is the tool we all need!!

Just giving you a bump! I'd like an answer to this as well. I'm not so worried about the Holidays as I am the fact that I had been drinking carbonated beverages.

Can someone recommend home exercise for the fat around your bra line? It's really driving me nuts!! I'm dropping weight in most places, but this is the one where I feel the most jiggly! Well, my biceps need it too.

Susan: Sounds like a great relationship you have with your two teenagers. I'm afraid mine is not that open. She knows the expectations we have for her, as we've made it very clear. I'm afraid I have put us in a position where she wouldn't come to me because she would be afraid I would voice my opinion - LOUDLY! I think I'm going to have a sit down talk with her and let her know that, although I would not likely approve, I would want her to tell me anyway. I never knew parenting could be so difficult!

I have a 16 year old daughter and I SERIOUSLY have had nightmares since I found out about this. I know many 16 yr olds have been pregnant before, just not as well known or advertised. But it really scares me. I do not think for one minute my child is sexually active, but YOU JUST NEVER KNOW. I hope others will tell me differently and that you would know if your child is sexually active, but it really really scares me. I mentioned it to Dani and she had said something like "Look who her role model is." I personally wish Nickelodean would hang her out to dry. I've heard all this talk about how nice it is that they stick by her. I don't think it's nice I think it's sending a message we don't want to send and have actually left them an e-mail to that effect. (for what it's worth)

Last I heard they found a body in the crawl space of her apartment building. NOt sure if they have confirmed it was her. SOOOO SAD!! It breaks my heart that people are that mean and cold!!

I have a 16 yr old daughter who is beautiful and very talented (biased I know). She is a kind child and other kids are often jealous of her. I have tried to deal with the situations off and on now, but I'm really sick and damn tired of it. It's unbelievable to me how backstabbing and downright mean kids can be. Yesterday my daughter was in the lunchroom when this girl she doesn't even know very well insists that she called her a slut. Mind you my daughter is sitting there minding her own business with a table of football players and a few cheerleaders. The girl absolutely went nuts on her. She was up in her face and screaming and yelling like a wild woman. The table of football players started yelling "Flavo Flav" (not sure what that means) at this crazy girl and another table of boys started throwing food at her. Everyone was irate but yet the teacher did nothing. (maybe she didnt' hear not sure) Anyway, when they were leaving the cafeteria some of the boys started getting worried and told Dani to report this because the girl is really unstable. Dani didn't want to but eventually broke down crying and was taken to the office where a report was completed. Now I'm even more mad just thinking about the things that this girl will come up with. My daughter is a straight A student, never been in trouble in her life, but I'm sure this girl is going to say all kinds of things when she has to answer to the principal. IF ANYONE HAS BEEN THROUGH THESE THINGS AND CAN OFFER ADVICE IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED AS I'M AT MY WITT'S END!!!

Mindy: That's a good idea, and what she has started to do. I do understand her point a little too, but like you said, she doesn't have to be "best friends".

I had a talk with Dani last night, and unfortunately it got a little out of hand. I ended up getting really angry at her because she doesn't want to ditch the troublemaker "Emma". I think she is afraid of backlash from it, because truly this child always gets her way and is very convincing to everyone. It's amazing, even the ones she has burned goes back for more. I think I understand it now though, they're just like Dani, afraid of the backlash. I would hate to think I raised such a a child!!

Thanks for all the advice ladies. Mindy - I think your son is probably genius level! HEHEHE Here's what happened: I called school twice and he didn't call me back. I went to get my daughter this morning to go for her driving test and asked to speak with him then. Before the lady picked up the phone to fine him he walked up behind her and asked her to pull Dani out of class. We both laughed and then he realized who I was. I was kind of glad it happened that way. Anyway, yesterday he talked to the girls involved, including witnesses, and all "didn't want to get involved" because they are friend's with the other girl's sister and with Dani. He went over some of the details and said he thought the other girl had many holes in her story, but suggested we leave it alone. I asked about the tape and he showed it to me. Unfortunately, it has no audio and all we could see because of the poor quality was the other girl going over to the table and yelling at Dani. Good thing was it confirmed Dani never got out of her seat. He said he has told them it better stop right now..... I don't feel a lot of anything was accomplished. He didn't confirm the other girls' disciplinary problems even. I simply let him know that it won't be tolerated. I advised him I felt they were on notice of this problem and if something happened they can anticipate having some answers to give. I didn't want to be too ugly because I truthfully believe he did what he could. If no one wanted to get involved - what else could he do?? On the flip side of that, I'm so upset with Dani. She has this one friend who uses her constantly. She is the biggest trouble maker, but could walk through fire and not even smell like smoke. She always stirs things up, and I feel she had a lot to do with this incident. She claims she is Dani's best friend, but her actions sure speak differently. Dani put her as her witness. Some witness!!! I STILL HATE TEENAGE GIRLS!!!

That's awesome news!!! We'll put him on our prayer list at church. If I remember right when Bridget hit the 2 lb mark things started looking up and she gained weight steadily for a while.

I will be praying for your family and the little one. I have good news though - my daughter was born at 24 weeks, was 12.5 inches long and weighed 1 lb and 7 ozs. She developed PIE and a grade 2 brain bleed. She is 19 months old now, perfectly healthy with absolutely no residuals. We consider her our little miracle. Please help your sister hang in there. We went through the change of ventilators several times and she was actually on a ventilator for at least 6 weeks. There is hope!!! WYATT'S MOM - congrats on your little victory too. Sounds like you went through almost exactly what we did - only a few years earlier!

I was banded 7/30/07. I have about 3.2 cc in a 4 cc band. Still not a LOT of restriction. I've lost around 40 lbs including the pre-op diet. I'm going back this week. I'm not sure if he'll fill it more or not. It seems like 3.2 is a lot in that size band. I can still eat bread if I eat the crust only. I haven't gotten sick yet but I have that "sliming" sometimes. Anyone else experience that. If so, do you think that means I need no more fill?

Too funny about the boobs. Mine don't pose a problem. You can jump on them cold or not. We live in KY, and it gets pretty cold. My daughter has been known to push the snow off and jump. - Yes - she's addicted.

Me too. I was kind of disappointed though. I spent all day cooking and kind of wanted to pig out, but was glad I couldn't. ***off topic, but can someone talk me through applying my ticker to my signature. I'm having problems with it***

I have done Weight Watchers in the past and was thinking about doing it again. Anxious to see any replies.

I got my 4 cc band on 7/30/07. So far I have had three fills. I think I'm at a little over 2 cc now. I thought at first it was working this time. I was having difficulty eating bread, but now I'm not. The last fill was 3 wks ago, and I haven't lost a single pound. I haven't tried white bread, but I can eat crusty parts of bread or biscuits, etc. I do have a little difficulty if I eat too quickly, but haven't actually thrown up. I do stay full for about 3 hours after eating, but problem is I can eat much more than a cup - probably more like 2 cups. Do you think I need more fill? I'm scared to get too extreme, but I need this to work badly. THOUGHTS PLEASE!!
