  1. Well I really need some help...since my surgery in August I am down 89 pounds. But for the past two months I have teetered in between 240 and 233 and I can't seem to break free from this area. I know they say after six months the weight loss really slows down...so that has me a bit frazzled as well because my first three months were spent in extreme pain. So I wasn't able to really do the physical part right away. So now I'm really hitting the gym but with very little results. My other problem is I didn't get dumping syndrome at all I do get uncomfortable when I eat to fast but thats about it. I was sorta looking forward to the extra food controller I guess. So I think maybe some of the things I'm eating aren't great. But it seems as if i eat the same things over and over trying to get protein in. I still check and watch the sugar content but that knowledge of knowing that its not going to make me sick is there. So i do know i definitely need to find better protein sources. So if any one has hit a plateau at this stage and can offer anything I would be extremely grateful?

Yeah I try not to just look at the numbers. So I know I really need to hurry and get tape measurer. Thank you for the encouragement and yes I know I have to keep in mind that this is a marathon!!

    Not doing to well!

First off thanks!!! But yes that was something I didn't consider at all I was simply going by what the scale reads. Think I'm going to get some measuring tape and actually see what my measurements are and see how they vary from week to week as well.

    I really want Ritz crackers

NO NO NO....I'm sorry!!! But the hunger gets real and I unfortunately did not get dumping syndrome so I have to be extremely careful around that time. Or I will be back in the same place and that is definitely NOT where I want to be!!!!

New Guy Otb 3 Days Po

I'm about two weeks out and I thought something was wrong because I love water but I would keep getting a pain in the center of my chest when I would drink it. So I see it's not just me. So for fear of becoming dehydrated I started eating shaved ice yesterday along with my crystal light drinks. Never did I imagine it being so hard to get down one 16 oz drink! Oh something else that helped in that first week was letting my water get to room temp.

    Not A Happy Camper!

I have always been very busty too!!! I started wearing a bra way back in third grade way before I began to really gain weight. I wouldn't mind going down to the D's somewhere because at least then I could buy a bra in a regular store.
  20. My questions to the people reading this would be, after surgery were you in a lot of pain? - I had my surgery 8/20 and was in a lot of pain and for me meds were not working. So I was very upset coming on here really helped reading others post and getting support because I was beginning to regret my decision. Did they weigh you in the pre-op area before surgery? -Yes I was weighed in pre-op I weighed in at 310.5 as of now I'm at 283.5 What were you most surprised about after your surgery? -How long it takes me to drink one dang on bottle of Water and the complete lack of appetite!!! What happened to you that you didn't expect after surgery? -I started my period too and that really upset me! I was already in pain, couldn't reach well to clean myself and now I had this to deal with.
