Well I have some to spare I just don't want to lose them all!!! -
I will be more than happy to get past the puree phase...it is horrible I can't eat anything!!! So I'm stuck with shakes, applesauce, mashed potatoes and just recently added grits.

Hello everyone I had my surgery 8/20 and I am miserable and in so much pain. I know I'm not getting the amount of liquid I'm supposed to but it always feels stuck in my chest. And food just forget about it!!! I wasn't informed about the drain before hand and that site hurts horribly all the way thru to my back. I can't laydown and relax. So far this has been a TERRIBLE experience!!!

I have had a lot of problems with gas!!! Oh and indigestion!!! I never thought about that being why my back was hurting. I was connecting to where they had the drain at. They gave me some stuff in the hospital and I have taken gaviscon. I have some gas gel pills I can try too. My husband is scared for me to take anything he is very cautious. -

Thanks I'm going to call doctor on Monday just to be sure the back pain is okay. And as for liquids and protein maybe I'll just stick to the shakes for awhile. -

Thanks that helps a lot. Is the back pain normal or should I be notifying my doctor? Or is this another one of the stages I just have to suffer through?
