Well, I started out on 9/11/12 at 344, and today at 254, so I should not be whining, but unable now to really keep anything down. Tuna makes me gag, protein drinks , Yuchi, little scrambled eggs ok. Does anyone have a good food suggestions? -
Tuna with mayo to make it really moist, then a little mild salsa on top = Yummy!

Retried with taco sauce? Great idea, will try it this week!

Tuna Goooood!

Well, I am 55, had surgery on 9/11/12 highest was 344 and now down to 310, on mostly liquids still, some puréed, cannot stand chicken anymore, but tuna with LOTS of mayo(makes it moist) is great! Getting water all day still pain in ass!

Hope you are doing well, my surgery went great on the 11th, and I have dropped 30 lbs as of today, no pain really, but sick of liquid diet!

I think the best thing I did was get three(3) of those egg crate style bed toppers, place them all on top of each other, makes it a lot easier to sleep! Then, I blast some gas and make my eyes cry.....really sick of only liquids, want something to TASTE!!! -

Well, I had stocked up on isopure. Protein drink, so each gives me 40 grams protein and 20 ounces liquid, just sipping all day. I really hate the chewable vitamins, but taking every day like a good(?) boy. No solids for 3 more weeks per dr, but tuna sounds sooooooo goooood! First check up is weds, so will see what fat has flushed away Going walking as much as possible, and gas, gas, gas releases feels so good! Hope everyone else will be feeling better soon as wel -

Very nice day today, FINALLY passed a lot of gas( my dog has been giving me evil looks when I did) but really makes things better! Short walks around house have been the key, now trying to keep mind occupied. Also got some milk of magnesia, also helped with bm -

Isopure is ok, but only a little sip at a time. Still hard to get all fluids down without stomach feeling really located up -

Thank god it is over! Sore as hades in hospital, got home yesterday and between the gas issues and feeling like a truck backed over me, getting better. Today I am really glad I stocked up on several types of the isopure drinks, so I can take small sips, and get water too. Gas,gas, gas! But walking really helps -

Going Back To Work?
MustangSteve replied to pebbles7673's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am lucky in that I can work online from my recliner at home, but still going to take a few weeks off just so I can totally relax and concentrate on recovery. -
Had to pay for the nut job eval, and will have $500 for the nutrionist(why so freakin high?) then just $150 copay for the surgeon, everything else I am lucky to have ins pay for. However, the two week liquid diet cost has been over a $100 bucks so far :/

Yes, try the different protein mixes, I like the French vanilla, but the chocolate tasted like chalk. Don't forget the clear chicken or beef broth, Walmart has them cheap and they are tasty when you get hungry in afternoons -

Yup, my goal is to be able to walk at the park and not scare small kids with my shadow -
