Wow I thought hospital stay was 2-3 days!! Some of y'all coming home after 1. Scares me to death

With my insurance I don't have a Co pay. Just a 100 deductible which has been met and a 750 out of pocket Max which has been met so I shouldn't have to pay anything

Me too. Honestly if I really would have known I would have waited till 2 weeks prior to surgery doctor requires to quit smoking

I am working hard to lose the 7 pounds I gained from last weigh in. Have until the 24 to do so. But don't think unless I get really drastic I can do it in a week I have lost maybe 2 pounds and that is with me upping my exercise and lowering calorie count to 1200 or below and drinking more then 64 ounces of water. I am hoping some of it is that monthly thing I am on right now too

I had to do an endoscopy, EKG, pulmonary function test, and blood work, also a psych evaluation

My pre op diet is a 1500 calorie diet for 6 months then a pure liquid diet one week prior to surgery

I haven't tried the protein bars. I feel to guilty even looking at them. They seem too much like candy bars LOL. Really to be honest ..I am so scared that I wont have lost the 5 pounds the NP said to lose by the 24th that I am so stressed and worried to the point I feel guilty if I put anything in my mouth that isn't water -

I am just trying to get my head around all this and what to expect. I saw the surgeon I'm July and he said after my psych evaluation on October 3rd they would hurry and get things done. I saw the nurse practioner last month and at that appointment they went ahead and scheduled for me to see the surgeon on October 23 for final appointment. I will see the NP again September 24. So I was just curious how things work -

About how much protein are you getting a day? I was told to get at least 60. Then after surgery 90-100 grams -

I have BCBS Highmark through hubbies work here in WV. I still have this month and October for my 6 month visits. Then surgeon will submit to insurance. I was told can take 2 days at the earliest and just depends on who gets your case -

Ty Lou. So on the salad you can have as much as you want as long as no egg or cheese and fresh veggies. Now the balsamic vinaigrette dressing is that all you can use? Or can you use any fat free reduce calorie dressing? -

I wonder if I will have to do that. I had a choice to either get a letter of recommendation and have my pcp do monthly weigh ins etc. Or just have the weight loss center do it. So figuring the weight loss center where my surgeon works would know exactly what the insurance company is looking for, I chose that way. Instead of the pcp way
