I made sugar free pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving!! I didn't know it was possible. I dont care about all the other food just give me Turkey and pie lol
-
I used just a regular pie crust. since we or I can only eat like 1-2 ounces at any given time it doesn't add much and only has 2 grams of sugar in a regular size piece. well what I used was true splenda with sugar. not totally SF like I thought but is 2 grams per tsp but in a recipe that calls for like 1 cup you use 1/4 cup

I am glad to hear you are better. hopefully you can get some well needed rest and healing soon

I understand. when did you have surgery?

My NUT said I was obsessing to much on the food part. and she was right so I stood back and said I am going to do this my way. its my body and my health so I stopped stressing about it so much and it does get easier.

October Surgery Dates

I was told no pastas no bread until goal weight. pastas and breads have carbs in them that turn to sugar during digestion. -
I had this same issue. I would feel guilt no matter how less or how much I ate. I guess it was from all the stress of being on a 6 month supervised diet along with worrying about losing too much or not enough and getting denied by either surgeon or insurance. it does go away. we have to eat for fuel we are only human and we were made to eat!! we just have to watch what we eat and how much.

you can do this!!! are you on full liquid diet or are you allowed some food? on my liquids I was allowed cottage cheese. I don't think I could have done it without it to be honest. everyone said how strong willed I was. ha!! it was cottage cheese that got me through lol. good luck and stay strong!!

I just used the recipe on back of a can of pumpkin but substituted the sugar with splenda.

Struggling With Pre-Op Diet
kisersassy replied to madi's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it is hard to stay on that diet. do you have myfitnesspal? it helped me a lot to stay on track. I worried the whole time about not losing the weight they wanted me too. I know that if you gain it can be an issue an insurance and your surgeon can deny you. stay determined in why you are having the surgery and set yourself some little goals to achieve. also try substituting one or two meal with protein shakes and that will help as well. good luck!!!! -

you should get 2 ounces per hour which makes 8 ounces. if you do Protein shake same thing and that counts as your Fluid intake as well -

I had the option to either haven't 6 month supervised diet with pcp or from the weight loss center associated with my surgeon. I chose the weight loss center because I knew they would know exactly what insurance was looking for -

get some miralax start taking that and I us to use suppositories as well 4 days post op. I feel if my surgeon required the bowel prep prior to surgery I wouldn't have suffered so bad with this right after surgery -
October Surgery Dates
kisersassy replied to RhondaWilliams's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it is very common for people to stall at weeks 3-4. and according to this site it wont be the last either. just keep getting all your protein and fluids in and you should he cleared soon by surgeon to have a regular exercise program besides just walking. the weight will come off just not as fast as that first 2-3 weeks -
what do you do if you pass out from dumping ssyndrome. I think I am experiencing right now and it is scaring me
-
see I am not sure what caused mine because I haven't had any sugar besides what's in the milk and protein powder. the only thing maybe is the day before I had 3 crackers in my cream chicken soup. other then that I have no clue everything is either splenda truvia or sugar free

liquid can stretch that is why we have to sip our fluids and not gulp. and yes only 1-2 ounces 3 times a day of food. I am going on 3 weeks post op in Monday and I am just beginning to be able to tell now when I am full -

Weight Loss Is Slow
kisersassy replied to theby_88's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have no clue!! unless I am now lactose intolerant...I had 1 ounce cottage cheese for breakfast and for lunch I had 8 ounce of 1% milk with a scoop of body fortress chocolate protein powder and it started after eating a sugar free orange popcicle. and I have had all this before and after surgery so I don't know what made today different and yes it is the worst feeling ever. I thought I was dying!!! -
