me too but this isn't grainy at all. It blended just perfect. the trick is not to put it in steaming hot food. so my soup wasn't hot hot. it really is good. -

my surgeon gave me some unjury chicken soup samples. I added it to my chicken soup and it wasn't that bad. I think I will order some -

Not to sound like a broken record but
kisersassy replied to Lebim's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had it but deleted it because it just made me feel guilty. my surgeon said not to worry about calories right now but just don't go over 1000. at 7 weeks post op not happening anyway. if we don't eat at least 800 our body goes into starvation mode and will hold on to the weight. -

that is way too much food. his pouch was resized to hold only 2 ounces. that is why it is very important for us to measure our food. he definitely can stretch his pouch. also. up until 4-6 weeks the nerve endings in his stomach is not working yet that is why he doesn't feel full and again important to measure his foods. -

I bought last week the premier shakes and bars from Sam's. I really haven't done the bars because they taste aweful. but the vanilla shakes are ok. -
Im Fred, 23 and about to have the Gastric Bypass Surgery
kisersassy replied to Lovebone89's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
the endoscopy is a breeze although you may wake up with your throat a little sore. it is normal to be nervous with any procedure. if you have any questions just ask and someone will try and answer or guide you to where to get the answer. good luck on your journey!!! -
How do I add a profile picture?
kisersassy replied to Lovebone89's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
go to your profile and just hold down your thumb where your pic would go and a menu will pop up asking from camera or gallery -
Worst comment you've heard so far
kisersassy replied to michelecaples's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think I can handle those comments better then the one I grew up with from my grandpa who said that I would soon have to be weighed at the farmers market in a cow scale if I didn't stop gaining weight. this was when I was only 170 pounds. probably had something to do with why I kept on eating -
how do you post pictures using phone app? or can it only be done on a computer?
-
thank you!! I will see if it works!

I am 7 weeks out and feel my weight loss is going slow. I am so scared because the first 3 months is suppose to be the ultimate time for weight loss and read that it isnt unusual to lose 20+ pounds a month during that time. -
it is actually 35 at a time

October Surgery Dates
kisersassy replied to RhondaWilliams's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
the stalls are awful!!! they play mind games on you like your doing something wrong!! I guess my weight loss is already slowing down to about 1-2 pounds a week. I hate that being only 7 weeks out. I know it is strictly because the only exercise I am getting mostly is house cleaning and taking care of my 3 year old grandbaby. I joined the Y but hate going by myself and I don't have a vehicle till husband gets off work and by then I have the baby. so I think the Y is not going to work out. I will just have to try and invest in a treadmill -
on my liquid diet I was allowed cottage cheese. so whenever I would feel hunger in between shakes I would take a bite and it git me through. the losing weight helps shrink your liver and being on a strict liquid diet can cause fast rapid weight loss. its nothing to lose up to 15 pounds while on it

I was told 80-90. don't suppliment your meals. eat 4 high protein meals a day and drink 2 protein shakes a day. plus get unflavored protein to add to or sprinkle on your meals. also if you are on regular foods you can eat protein bars. premier protein shakes and bars from Sam's have 30 grams of protein so just one shake and one bar is 60 grams. so if you add your 4 meals you will have your requirements

I am a side sleeper and could not do this till they took out my drain at one week post op. then had no problems
