What's your favorite snack/meal?
kisersassy replied to theby_88's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My favorite snack is cheese rolled up with lunchmeat and 5 low-fat crackers. I don't have a favorite meal as I really just do meals like cottage cheese or a yogurt or the cheese and sometimes tuna and crackers. I did have meatloaf today it was pretty good -

kisersassy replied to Jilllorraine's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

A stricture is when the opening from your stomach to your intestines close up to tight from scar tissue etc.. -
I have read a lot of post lately where people post op 3 weeks to 2 months are being told to wean off of protein shakes. Did some new study come out recently as there is no way I could come close to eating my protein without the shakes. I am required to get at least 75 grams of protein a day
-
I love milk!! My surgeon and the NUT both wants 80-90 grams of protein a day. But at last appointment they said to work on. 75 grams. I guess they want to work up to the 80-90

October Surgery Dates
kisersassy replied to RhondaWilliams's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was wanting to do this but I can't stand someone telling me what to do and not being in control -
I will because it is confusing. I just assumed I would be using some kind of protein shake daily. I only drink one a day but I have been drinking also 8 ounce glass of unjury chicken soup and this evening a 8 ounce glass of their strawberry sorbet and that gave me 72 grams of protein today plus the Ham I ate and the Turkey so total about 90 grams today

Usually only one procedure is needed to fix a stricture. But sometimes the hole wont stay open and more procedures are done and if all else fails they will put stents in. I had my second procedure 2 weeks today. So far so good!! -

Oh no Amt!! It is so hard to quit. Its been 6 months for me. And there isn't one time during the day that I don't want one but I know I can't. And I just signed up to go back to college to get my RN degree and i need to continue no smoking for the job I want. I know nurses smoke but I don't want to he a slave to them anymore. You can try and quit again even if it is food you turn too maybe this time turn to veggies or beef jerk -

Drowning in sorrow
kisersassy replied to nikkiba75's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nikki you should be eating or trying to get 800 calories at least in. As everyone says you must get. 64 ounces of water or more in a day. I really don't think the weight gain is anything but water retention or time for that monthly nightmare!! Other then that we are more fertile so pregnancy can cause weight gain too -
